Hey guys, I'm considering getting an ALC fitted to my import TT but would like to know how any of you have experienced the difference in shift-performance. Also, is £240 too much for a new one? I thought I saw one advertised on here (many moons ago) for about £90?! Let me know pleaZe. Cheers, Danny

Hi guys, Fitted the new dampers-ok-, but where on earth do you possition the electric motors ??? Motors work fine in turning the 90 degrees required, and fit on the bracketry fine but you can adjust the damper shaft & motor shaft. Im conserned in case 1's going stiff as the other going soft. (doors open there, but how else can I explain it) UK car all std (new) bits. cheers harve

My head light bulb went last night and the Nissan garage couldn't help due to my car being an import. I was going to order 1 but I really needed to use the car so we went to Halfords. Purchased bulb 453 (has the spade terminal on a wire) and soldered another terminal to it. It took about 3 mins to do and cost around £4 and it works fine. Just thought I would mention it as I looked on some previous topics on this and it seemed that some poeple had problems doing it.

My friendly police constable wrote to me this morning wanting to know my details for an intended prosecution of EXCESS SPEED (well fancy that?) in a variable 60mph zone on the M25 at 22.34 near colnbrook. My beef is that the M25 was freeflowing with only light traffic (it's 10.30 at night) . absolutely no reason for any speed restriction to be in place. After previous similar nights, same time, same place, same restriction, same absence of traffic, I ignored it. Can I require the police to provide just cause why the restriction was in place. Or prove that the system was not a) faulty b) being tested c) left on to catch motorists and make even more money for the …

Hello, I'm tying to find a heater core for a 300ZX year 85 to 89. I found this one in the states: http://www.heatercore4u.com/2-558.htm but I would prefere to locate on closer to London. BTW, I don't own any 300ZX I just need that heater core for a watercooled computer.

Just a quick note for anyone who's been following my "something wrong..." thread over the previous weeks: Thanks to the masterful yet modest hands of Vijay, my current troubles are over! After cleaning the coil packs and anything that looked remotely like an electrical connector my hesi/misfire/rough idle are gone - this is the job a main dealer was asking £900 quid for... :O Many thanks too to Maciej and Henri who also diag'd the problem, and to Andy, Danny, Aaron, Timmy T and all you other fine gents who offered info and suggestions. This place makes me feel all warm and fuzzy sometimes One final puzzler: after sorting out the contacts, Vijay kindly di…

It's a quote from Pulp Fiction before anyone asks.. And if you have to ask... Where have you been the last 5 years!? Anyway.. I'm talking about my mobile scrap-heap of a car in this case.. Which blew a water hose off the back of the engine (at least thats where the steam was coming from.. you try seeing down there!) while I was doing err.. 70 (100) on the M40 I *think* the HG is OK - the temp never hit the top of the gauge, and I pulled over and stopped (and let it piss the rest of the brown muddy water over the hard shoulder ).. Then had to wait 4 hours to get a flatbed (AA) truck that was low enough to get the Z onto to take me home (Slough)... …
