Having just purchased an E36 M3 Convertible, I've noticed that the suspension is completely shagged at the rear. Does anyone know of a decent company who can supply me with a new suspension kit without breaking the bank. I'm not really interested in coilovers but would like a decent shock / spring conbination which would slam the bugger on the ground!! (possible 60 - 80mm drop!). I'm getting fedup of driving around in the air!!! Cheers Chris

Hi Everybody, My friend came over from London tonight with his new TVR Tuscan S which I had the pleasure of taking for a spin (almost literally!). It is a truly ridiculously, insanely, mindnumbingly quick car.Acceleration in any gear at any speed is absolutely ferocious, that said, it is quite a handfull especially when the roads are damp. For reference purposes, we drag raced it against the Z, which I am sad to say was absolutely massacred, the TVR being at least 30 car lengths ahead by 100mph the Z has felt a little sluggish on occasion, but tonight it felt SLOW. I'm off to the bank in the morning to get a loan, not to buy a TVR, but to spend on my Z so I …

Ok guys,There seems to be mixed feelings in this forum about SE, I have all my major work done there and travel around 500 miles to do this.Every thing they have done turbos, gearbox, and tuning has been 100% satisfactory. So if they were so bad as some of you say,why have I not had any problems? I find Pete's knowledge on the 300zx exceptional. CheerZ MAC 1 ------------------

Ok guys sorry I havent posted this sooner, but I have tried the following and it looks flawless! To redo the plastic type trim around the t-tops etc I have heard of people removing the trim and using a truck bed lining paint to get the textured effect back on their trim, heres what I did: Purchase a plastic bumper spray in black (I used Dupli-color bumper spray). Mask off the trim either side with automotive masking tape. (Be careful when removing the tape, do it SLOWLY!). Once masked, Spray the paint into a container and use a small brush to apply it to the trim, dont worry about brush marks, because the trim is already textured they wont show. This is alot easie…

  9. Ohhhhhh ... and it was such a great day ... something was bound to go wrong. And Oh boy did it go wrong! Drove from Brum to London to have a tete-a-tete with the bastards that had recently fired me (long story but the nuts-and-bolts of it is that it was unfair dismissal). Lets just say that they were not too impressed with my threats of taking them to court - so next time we meet will be in court That should have been my first clue that something was a mis ... Got back into the car to drop someone off at the tube station and on the way there I'm thinking "What the hell is that scraping noise" ... Not too long after that thought passed my one remaini…

Just a quick question. On the Auto selector u know there are the letters/numbers for the gears and to the left of them there is a little clear pane to see the red actual indicator to show what gear its in... Well is the red thing supposed to light up? The letters light up in green but the indicator is totally dark on ours. See u cant see what gear its in and as a result me dad just managed to pull away in second by accident only noticing when it didnt change gear BTW its a Jap if thats important which I dont think so but hell the UK doesnt have the Power/Hold so it might be different slightly...

Does anyone know when the Air Con display changed from the two sets of digits to the temp and graphics display... The display on my '93 Zed, Jap Import... Has the Temp at the top and under that a broken single digit that changes when the Hi & Lo buttons are pressed... I know most cars even Imports have the Temp at the top of the display and the Fan blade and Arrows graphics at the bottom... This is driving me potty... I wanna get it fixed while it's still under warrenty.... Any ideas...

Noticed when I got back darn sarf yesterday that I could hear this faint rattle coming from the drivers side at idle. Not immediately concerened about it, having been on TT.net the consensus points towards the pre-cat covers being loose or the turbo heatshield corroded and the U clamps givin' it large rattle stylee. Anyone else had this? It seems quite common in the US Z's! Bitch to get to aswell...ARSE! P.S. Don't bother with any SE jokes either!

after cleaning my engine, the speedometer stopped working, I mean I could put a chalkboard to write down how fast I THINK i'm going, but nah, how do you fix it? I figure it's probably just a loose wire or blown fuse, the speedometer only works in 5th gear. btw anyone know where I can get a 300zx cd service manual?
