what is it with these max power boys? Today we were going up the garege and behind us on this single carriageway was this astra lol. My dad says oi look theres a boy racer in an astra behind. I looked round and saw the evo 7 bonnet attempt and thought 'max power' right away. The next part is where it gets funny. There is a car in front turning right so we slow down to bout 10mph then as he turned this guy in the astra was giving it all it was wprth to get past us, so me dad gave it some poke, bearing in mind that the autobox was in hold mode and the engine was still cold therefore safety boost (yeah i know u shouldnt thrash it when cold). Dark coloured 300zx (z32), it was night time and covered in salt, looked black, it was on a 'C' plate, so obviously someone put it on for a reason. I bought this TT manual for my brother and it seems that the engine is going to hell. I am between recondition / replace with a used engine. Can you tell me how much for recondition? Also how much for a used one and where to find one? Any advice? Thanks

Bought a 1990 jap import last year. Past its first MOT no worries. This year it has failed cos it does not have a fog light (fair doos) but also a problem with the ABS. Does anyone no how to fix ABS. What could be the problem. Will do a diag got the instructions. But how hard is it to sort. CheerZ in advance. Tim

Well the deal came through, got myself a complete zedtt engine 60k on it and now its cluttering my garage up , boy these engines are heavy!but its nice to have a backup if I blow mine or I build SCREAMER!!!mmm mmm

If anyone's interested, there is a 91H 300ZX for sale in a garage in Sutton-under-Whitestonecliff (longest place name in England - official!) on the A170 near Thirsk in North Yorks. Metallic Red/Burgundy, £5995. I don't have any other details as I am not on speaking terms with the garage owner. I bought my S13 200SX from him 2 years ago. Be warned, he not only sells the most expensive petrol in the UK (lots of records in this village!) he is a the**ing b****** when it comes to servicing/ repairs! Car looks cool though - envy

Heres the problem with my 91, NA 2+2 Z (Auto) 1) When I first start it in the morning, sometimes I have to turn the key about 3-4 times to get it started, (Not Always) 2) In the mornings when I get it started, I put it in reverse to back down my driveway, the revs drop down to about 400, it feels like the car is gonna stall, kinda flutters for a few seconds then the revs rise and all is fine Any ideas guys?

Finally everything is ready. After installation I asked the mechanic to drive it first and tell me his comments. We are at about 60Km and he hits the gas. Wooowww...Spinning and accelerates like maaad. He sais to me he can believe that the car behaves like that. I couldnt wait to drive it myself. Ok here i am inside the car and I press the gas slowly and the car feels like before. I am at about 2RPMS and hit the gas....At that time I thought that this is not my car. How in the hell it changed like that. It builds up boost so quickly and jumps like mad. The Converter is much smaller than stock and much lighter and stall speed 3000RPMS... …

Low or no oil pressure showing on gauge I think I have found the problem with the oil senders and the reason why they fail, need to just check out it once refitted to the car today and lets hope its what I think because if I am right it will cost about less than 10 pence to put em right!!
