Just wondedred if anyone is the geezer in the white j plate 300 zx i saw on the way home from work 2 nite?

Anybody ever use those 12 V dc to 240V AC inverter thingys to power a laptop etc in the car? I wondered if they have enough oomph to give a wide boy a belt when he tries his stuff. Thought about wiring the output to the lock barrel and having it arm with the alarm. Scrot brain then gets ect treatment when he tries to force it. Scrots seem to have struck a lot of Zs even with alarms. Even mine must have been hit soemtime in its history cos its got a new door skin at some time and I found a spare handle and lock mech under the boot panels when I got the car. Other thing you could do is wire it to one of them slinky spring thingys - stretch it round the inside of you…

At what steady speed do you find you need positive boost all the time? Seems to me it must be way over the ton and I dont have access to a long straight on a private road to check it!

Abit worried,went out for a spin today,as you do, & on the way i stopped to clean the temp senser because my gauge was flickering, I also twiddled with the senser nixt to it .The temp senser is fine but it was ticking over fast for the rest of the journey.When i came to start it again it would'nt!!!.I took both sensers of & cleaned them the best i could in the bad light.The car started but it does'nt feel like it's running on all 6 cylinders.What have i done? & what does that senser do next to the temp gauge???.WHAT DO I DO !!!!!!!!???????????. Couple of quick ??? Is it better to replace the pipes? or gut the originals...if gutting how is this best done? Cheerz

My fuel flap has never opened properly & now I am having to open it by reaching my hand behind the trim panel in the boot & flicking the catch Anyone have any idea where the cable adjuster is? Have had loads of trim panels off but can't find the bloody thing. Cheers Jay

Hi, I don't know if any members remember but my car got splashed in acid a few weeks ago and I am going to have an insurance inspector come round to inspect the car soon. My problem is that I have non standard alloys on the car will this potentially cause a problem with the insurer? Also are there any members in the London area with a standard set of wheels and tyres that I could swap over for a couple of days for an appropriate fee. Cheers Mark

Got the car back from the garage this morning after having the traction control fitted - all I can say is f**k me! Never seen a car hold so well and I can finally drive like a total lunatic even in the rain... I love my car even more Robb

what is it with these max power boys? Today we were going up the garege and behind us on this single carriageway was this astra lol. My dad says oi look theres a boy racer in an astra behind. I looked round and saw the evo 7 bonnet attempt and thought 'max power' right away. The next part is where it gets funny. There is a car in front turning right so we slow down to bout 10mph then as he turned this guy in the astra was giving it all it was wprth to get past us, so me dad gave it some poke, bearing in mind that the autobox was in hold mode and the engine was still cold therefore safety boost (yeah i know u shouldnt thrash it when cold). Dark coloured 300zx (z32), it was night time and covered in salt, looked black, it was on a 'C' plate, so obviously someone put it on for a reason. has my zed got a problem.? if i go round a corner, usually a roundabout, and put my foot down a bit the back end goes for one! i was goin round a roundabout on thursday and i put my foot about halfway down on the gas, and the car did a complete 180 spin - in the middle of leicester, right in front of county hall! luckily it was late and nobody was around. it was good fun anyway! i keep doing power slides round bends 'by accident' i'm stilll driving it with the busted centre bearing. it'll probably bust the u -joint or whatever but never mind. i can't go out in my nova when i've got a zed. ps. i saw a G reg black zed in Rothwell, in northamptonshire on …

I bought this TT manual for my brother and it seems that the engine is going to hell. I am between recondition / replace with a used engine. Can you tell me how much for recondition? Also how much for a used one and where to find one? Any advice? Thanks

Bought a 1990 jap import last year. Past its first MOT no worries. This year it has failed cos it does not have a fog light (fair doos) but also a problem with the ABS. Does anyone no how to fix ABS. What could be the problem. Will do a diag got the instructions. But how hard is it to sort. CheerZ in advance. Tim

Well the deal came through, got myself a complete zedtt engine 60k on it and now its cluttering my garage up , boy these engines are heavy!but its nice to have a backup if I blow mine or I build SCREAMER!!!mmm mmm
