Today was always going to be one to remember, the weather the lost winning lottery ticket to name just two, but was totally bowled over to receive a request for help from my local Nissan garage!!! The mechanic had seen me exiting the parts dept. and shouted over. They had a Uk TT and had given up on trying to get the brakes operating correctly after 4xdisc, pads and fluid change. With an extreamly low pedal action added to a poor feedback?Having asked the obvious about the work they had done I mentioned the bleeding proceedure and when I mentioned the abs unit had a seperate bleed screw on it he went kind of red well very red in fact. Then he went to the front of the car in …

One for the imports here, the extra brake light in the spoiler has little or no reflective material in and as a consequence the light output is low compared to modern units. However with a little patience and some chrome film (yes it appears again) a very effective cure can be made. The look of the finished unit is much brighter looking into it and the light output is at least double if not more.As the same idea is bound to work with the rest of the rear lights I will do them later this week and show the results. Hi folks, Still patiently looking for a car and was wondering if anyone has experience of ordering a car to their specification from Japan. Also, I've been thinking about using a company called NEWERA http://www.neweraimports.com/ to do it, they say they have lots of happy customers. Anyone know anything of 'em? Gotta run, -Stu

It never seems to stop. Having sorted my idling problems over the weekend (it was the TPS, thanks guys :-)) now the ICE (standard system supplied with car) is playing up. The situation is as follows, it powers on but you have to turn it up full volume it hear anything and even then it's barely audible. Any ideas or do I just rip it out and put something else in ?

I have a major leak on an air pipe & just wondering if anyone knows which pipes usually break or split? I've taken intercoolers out & checked pipes too & from engine but they're OK. Could be a pipe going from turbo to filter box though but I can't get to the bugger! I was overtaken by a Rover metro today, wasn't impressed with me Z at all!!!!

There is a god that goes by the name of Andy. Not content with amazing me with the standard of work to fix the power steering system, you pull a blinder and sort the idle/ boost gauge problem that's being naffing me off for ages. Would love to share with everyone how you managed to fix but no a clue - the work of a genius. To say you made my day is a gross understatement. If I can ever offer first hand recommendations on your work please let me know. Mark

Hello all, My Z is down on power and I was wondering if anyone could help. I have timed the car from 0-100mph using a stopwatch and it took 21seconds! (it's a 1992 UK T.T auto). I have checked the coil pack connectors, replaced the temperature sensor and run an ECU diagnostic which showed up an all clear. The car is idling and running fine other than that. Please someone help, I'm going off my nut! Thanks for any help, Brian
