So decided to take a spin after a few months in storage and the car stalls in gear at around 3000rpm  It revs perfectly fine in neutral. Checked connectors, plugs, air leaks and all seem fine. I haven’t got access to a Conzult but will run the manual ECU diagnostic at the weekend. I’m guessing it’s a fuelling issue (pump, fuel control unit, fuel filter?). Is there anything else I should look for? Thanks

So I'm not going after all, someone else was going to have the track time but they don't want it any longer. So I have 3 sessions going spare, can post today for delivery tomorrow or you can collect on saturday as I'm only 10mins from Castle Coombe. I know probably in the wrong section, but I'm not asking anything for them, though you're welcome to make a donation :)

Have been a little worried as I have recently noticed a knocking noise when I press he accelerator pedal slightly , Changed the oil , no bits in there , still goes really well , no change in temp , pressure seems ok . My brother took her out and says she is fine and I am prob being paranoid . Just seems' to me' that its not right . So if there is anyone knocking around today 8th and wants to have a listen let me know . :thumbup1: All sorted - thanks to Mr Lee Dent

PCV Valve Function The purpose of the PCV System is to regulate crankcase pressure and ventilate blow-by gases from the crankcase into the intake manifold. The PCV system consists of the positive crankcase ventilation valve, grommet, tube and an air supply hose. Check around all of these fittings for any signs of oil leakage. Everything must be tight. Oil leakage indicates a problem with the system. The PCV valve uses spring pressure to hold the valve in the open position while the engine is off or when there is a drop in manifold vacuum like upon acceleration. This results in maximum crankcase ventilation. When the engine is at idle and cruise high man…

Looking for guidance to decipher whether my loom is faulty or an injector , long story short my car has a lower AFR on the driver side bank in comparison to the passenger side causing det , the paperslip that came with my injectors say 11.5 ohm but not to what this measurement relates , am I right to take to take this as a measure of resistance ? , if so across which pins do I check, likewise I want to check the loom and will measure the resistance at the injector connector , what reading should I see and across which pins do I measure please. Thanks Sayers

Some advice required please...I got myself one of these to stop driving with silent indicators on... . I figured maybe fit on hazard connector.... or indicator stalk... The instructions say pickup from the lights themselves, but obviously I do not want to be running metres of wire from there.... Can someone add some arrows to above pics, or is there an alternative to tell me where to pickup the L and R live, and the earth connection?

I bought my first z last week, so don't know that much about the running gear. It's developed a vibrating from the rear of the car dependant on the speed. It's pronounced at 40mph and doesn't stop when the clutch is dipped. I had the wheels balanced, and swapped the wheels over as there was an 8j and a 9j on the rear axel. Then bought new tyres. The problem is now worse than before, maybe because of more grip? I haven't checked the brakes yet for binding but is there anything else I should check? Cheers

I had planned on doing the subframe and Differential carrier bushes myself, but the car is quite unpleasant to drive at the moment as all 8 of those bushes are fecked. I don't have the time to do them DIY so will need to get them done at a garage (I have a choice of 3 that are local with good reps). What kind of time frame will I be looking at? (Original collars don't need saving as Whiteline bushes include outter collar). Price isn't an issue, but time is.

Before i start i have checked the search on here and no found what i was looking for maybe because in using my phone i don't know but.. I have recently purchased a speedo converter to mph from sva car parts who i have delt with on 2 other occasions for jap hondas so i know they work well however when fitting this one its designed to fit inline on the loom before the plug to the speedo and their instructions on this arnt very good so being the fearless car enthusiast and the fact ive done it before took the plunge to try and unscramble thier instructions along with good old common sense and a multimeter fitted it all up then did the long job of putting it all tidy and p…

OK so I had my car back since Saturday - it's been running OK This evening I took the missus to he Zumba class about 2 miles away. Just before I got there I heard this noice which I had not heard before like a fan blowing (thought my heater fans were on at first but they were not as it sounded like a noisy heater fan) Anyway I dropped her the wife off and ran the two miles or so back home - car running OK but after a mile started making a bit of an odd noise through the exhausts when coasting to junctions etc which I find very difficult to describe. Got to roundabout half a mile away and as I pulled off thought I saw smoke at side of and behind the car …

Weird thing, but I have two sets of front discs, old and new- The new ones were used for about a year on my NA (with TT brake conversion), but the hub on my transplant car isn't as deep, if you know what I mean, as the disc rubs against the inside of caliper, the the wheel jams against the caliper once bolted up. The disc depths are different sizes - 24mm 29mm I guess they changed the hub dimensions between 1990 and 1992. So, I plan to put a 5mm spacer between the hub and the disc, does this sound ok, or a bad idea?

Hi Does anyone know what exactly the function of the check valve assmbly , connected to the fuel line and located on the underside of the car is for? I´m guessing on a RHD car it is located in the same place as on a LHD car so for a RHD car on the underside between passenger seat and rear wheel arch. (SWB!) The assembly Looks like this: It´s been causing me Problems and getting a replacement is proving impossible , so I was wondering if it was just a cut off valve incase I flip the car and can I get rid of it, or does it serve some other purpose. As always, any help greatly appreciated. Maz
