If you have an ebc fitted and dont switch it on doese that mean your car will run in safety mode all the time. Or do you have to just switch it on and leave it o the basic setting? Just wishing to know.

I'm having problems with a clutch pedal, and I have an xtd clutch and flywheel so I want to pull the box and see if stock clutch solves it, Problem I have is I haven't driven the car for over 2yrs so i couldn't just say I have fitted this and it doesn't work, The cylinders have been sitting in my garage for so long they could be crap... But I back bleed them and it goes in gear with engine running and its working but the pedal is stupid light and I've had to disconnect the servo to make the pedal feel stock..…

Can anyone suggest where I can source one, were they all BOSE units? Also if I do manage to get an OEM unit can a ipod adaptor be fitted, can anyone suggest where these can be sourced?

  9. as above obviously will pay for this service so if u are able to do it give me a price cheers

Hi, I am just finalising the last bits and bobs for an imminent paint job and was wondering what the "fasteners" were listed as upper, left and right and whether they need to be replaced or not? I know I will need the upper moulding/seal and I already have new side mouldings but am unsure of these fasteners and the likelihood of reusing them on installation. CheerZ Joel.

  12. Hi all, as some of you will know I thought I had a 91 degree out timing issue...... well I think I found the problem after a very loud noise.... sounded like a box of bolts rattlihg round under the engine..... thought I had done the bottom end then It just dissapeared.. today I jacked her up and found the altenator bolt hanging out and the harmonic balancer spit in 2 pieces.... The inner part is tight on the crank, but the outer turns freely with the altenator belt on and independently of the middle section.... is this what happens when the harmonic balancer dies? Any advice?

Hi Guys! I need some specific advice, I have run a red single 5 amp cable from the front fog light switch to the off side reverse light. On removing the pod that holds the fog light switch there are 6-8 smaller wires in this plug! One thread says use 17 & 18? (That's two wires & I only have one!) Is 17 & 18 +tive & -tive? Therefore do I need to wire an earth from 17 or 18? What do I do? At the rear light there are two wires, Green & Black. I'm I right in that my Red wire will replace the Green (live) & leave the Black (earth) ? Do I need to get an inline fuse? Sorry it's long winded for what some theads on this matter makes it s…

Hi guys, Bloody car lol...I fitted my clutch lines tonight to see if the car would move on its own for the 1st time in about 2yrs, But I can't get a pedal, all was working fine when car was stripped, I have an hel straight line so should bleed easy, ive bleed the clutch about 100 times lol and never had a problem, I had the misses pumping the pedal and i was underneath and its only pushing the fork a tiny bit, Funny thing is the pedal isn't staying down its returning but its very light even with engine off... Anyone got any ideas,

Following a rebuilt engine from a small company with in house engineering cnc machining, heads and turbo rebuilding facility. Car was collected by the owner from said builder and around 60 miles later the following was discovered after an engine noise was heard and seem to be getting worse, the noise was semi metallic with a scrapping noise in time with engine speed. Culprit below. It was caught under the crank sprocket. Real worry is the "rebuilt" engine water pump was not replaced, did not bode well for the rest of the rebuild, however the engine had not been damaged. Jeff TT

  21. The resullts of little or non oil, long story but the end result of a mistake made by an apprentice most likely at oil change time:glare: Heavy knocking and no power, was transported to Zedworld by " the other garage" to see what the situation was, soon as it was run it was clear internal damage had occurred, so whip it out of the car and on to the engine stand for closer inspection. During the strip down it was found one turbo almost to tight to turn, once the sump was off the amount of side ways movement in no 6 bearing was huge!! and well the rest are well mincemeat!!! Jeff
