I want to order a new "Nissan Fairlady Z" boot-strip decal as mine is extremely faded. ConceptZ have them in bronze or silver, which one should originally be on my car? As you know I have listed two quite amazing zeds over the past few days, and I have received some incredible comments from the members here regarding my cars and indeed my position about becoming a trader here. I have also been asked to source cars for individuals which I am already on the case. However no one as yet has made any noises about buying or even looking at the two I currently have for sale, maybe I am just being impatient! Ok we know the usual coil pack spark plug but I have had a weird jumping from cylinder to cylinder drop. Started out as cylinder 4 not running. Checked loom connection, removed coil pack. Gave it a clean, cleaned sparkplug. Plugged it all back in. Still not working. Checked the injector with srewdriver ( wasn't working) could not here a thring. Gave the connection a bit of a wiggle Bobs you uncle. Took it for a spin. Zoom fast as you would expect. As I returned home just as I was pulling in the driveway it felt like the cylinder had dropped again. Checked cylinder 4 and everything was working. Could here injector working. No problem. Hi all, I thought I would put a post up describing my thoughts on the recent work I have carried out on my car. It all started with a slipping clutch, which was inivitable as the previous owner had suggested I replace it because it had slipped with him... It lasted nearly 2 more years including 5 track days before it gave up the ghost, so it did itself proud. I did some research into what clutch I should go for, and what else I should do while I had the car on ramps, I generally daily drive the car, as well as track days, so it needed to be something strong but not too snappy. I am sure 'some' know and some may have guessed that I don't actually have BBS LM fitted to my Z. Despite never advising that I actually have them, I also have never dispelled that! They are in fact replicas. There are a lot of differences and I can spot replicas a mile off! The story is that I used to have a lovely set of 18" Advan Sienna 3 piece forged wheels. Alas, these were a bitch to maintain as they needed polishing after pretty much every wash and was partly the precursor to my fear of taking my Z anywhere near the rain (well, it's always been like that). Hi all, Has anyone had problems with the headlight not sitting correctly across the bonnet line? I changed my originals as I had a spare set of head lights that I had a few mods done to (Internally only). The top of the lights that meet the bonnet doesn't stay flush. I've removed the headlights today and looked at to brackets that appear to be straight as I thought they could be bent. Any ideas? Thanks Dan

Right trying to fit some new roof trims see picture, below. My questions is how on earth do you put the grey trim onto those clips? Do you fit the mounting lugs into the trim off the vehicle and then push and slide the clips/trim into place? I have nearly got there by sliding the trim onto the white fixings, but I can not get the last end cap to then slide into postition into the end of the grey trim.

Hi all. Have a leaking front shock ao after replacements. Does anyone know where to get kyb or similar shocks for the z32 in the uk? Only ones i find are in the US. Thanks

I'm doing my na diff swap at the moment using a na subframe . But looking on the web on us sites there's a few companys that sell conversion kits to fit r230 and r200 diffs on classic z cars 1970-1978 I'm sure a kit could be made to fit a r200 na diff into a tt subframe can't believe a kit hasn't been made allready .

hello, does any one know any decent consult software my zx is a 1991 so its consult 1 or obd1 wanted to run a test and all i have is my mac book pro

So, in short I have MeisterR Zeta S coilovers. In turn this has messed with the camber a little and the wheels are further in at the top. So, what I need to know is what components I actually need to buy/search for. Also, what brands people feel are safe bets for quality are performance. Many thanks, Lee

Filled the car up there for the first time, however when I removed the filler cap there was a huge release of pressure. The pump then kept shutting off, so it took about five minutes to put in twenty liters or so. It could still be filled at a slow rate and drives fine. Is there anything in particular that could cause this problem or should I just follow the usual route of investigation?

Recently replaced pcv valves with genuine OEM parts and changed spark plugs the other day which I noticed were quite oily. The car still smokes, but not under boost or at idle all the time just very randomly like if I go for a drive them stop at some traffic lights I'll get a smelly plume of oily smoke bellow out for a second then stop. I'm thinking of changing the valve cover gasket and the one below which is just sealant I believe? If so would blue hylomar be a good choice? At the same time I'm doing some water deletes and a fuel pump change, thinking I may aswell do the injectors too. Would brand new OEM injectors be worth buying or any alternatives?

Previous insurer wanted £560 for classic agreed value of £10000, but would not give agreed value if kept on a driveway. Ok so I was lucky enough to be the lucky buyer of the wide body 300zx recently on eBay. However there is a problem, maybe 2..... So I brought it with the suspicion that the tappets needed replacing however after a 260 mile drive home and starting it the next day the noise had completely cleared and full power seemed to be accessible (when noisy there is a significant loss of power) Later that day i stopped for 5 minutes, started again and to my disappointment the tapping noise had returned withdrawing the power with it.... I believe it had an oil change and treatment within the last month by the previous owner who also posted about this problem but I am now confused as to…
