Has any1 fitted decat pipes supplied from petrolheads northwest? The hole pattern at the turbo end seems good to bolt straight onto the precats, but the angle out would make the pipes stick out and drag along the floor! Do the precats need removing and a separate elbow from the turbo to the decat pipe need to be fitted? Thanks, Joel.

I have the infamous seat of my pants vibration for the first few miles when cold... Ususally spells centre support bearing, but could also be gearbox mounting or U/J also. Is there a way i can acurately diagnose the cause....?

As some of you know I've just finished an auto to manual conversion, now its all completed, I have a bit of a problem engaging ALL gears. Thing is, if I drive the car slowly I have no problems at all, no grinding and engaging any gear is fine. But if you try to give it a bit of a right foot it will grind into all gears, even 5th. I've bled the system twice and there is no air there, tried adjusting the clutch pedal, still no luck. Some one suggested that pressure plate might be a bit weak, I know that the friction plate was changed very recently. What else could it be? bent fork. The car I got the g/box from suffered a heavy front end collission, but visually the g/box …

Hi, I found out last week that the 300zx came with t-top storage protectors. How do they work? I know there are some straps in the boot, so I assume they are used to secure the t-tops down? Is it worth buying the covers? Any for sale?

Ok guys my second topic of the day already. Me and my mate have been busy trying to diagnose a problem I've been having with my car and we've finally nailed it down this morning by swapping the wheels over. It seems that one of my alloys is in dire need of a refurb. Its making a cracking noise (its a split rim) I need this done asap as I am planning on making a long journey just after the middle of the month. What I am thinking is that what I could really do with is another set of wheels to put on the car while I send the current wheels away for reconditioning so that I can still meet my MOT appointment. If anyone has a set of wheels that they could lend me…

On removal of my aftermarket wheels i noticed i have no spigot rings although there is an obvious gap between the bore of the wheel and the "mounting boss" on the hub. I was wondering do i need them or is it best to have them? If so what size would i need? It is a JDM '90 twin turbo if that makes any difference. Cheers guys.

Just picked up my latest zed last night and was spotted on tower bridge by a member (cool). I need to get the spoiler replaced or refurbed. I also need the windscreen pillars replacing inside and out, I need the wheels redoing desperately (ruining the car) and finally I need the bumpers respraying. Any one in N E Lincs who can do any of these would be great but I can travel North up to Teesside way if there's someone in Leeds etc. Cheers.

been looking at these for a while and decided to buy this one with the LCD display. should be here in a few days. has anyone on here got/used one? it must be better than the bosch LSM-11 sensor i had, which wasnt truely wideband, it was a narrow band sensor with an extrapolated range. http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/zt2/zt2.htm Fraser

Does anyone know of anything that can remove the leftover tacky glue from when a sticker has been removed from the rear window. Can't use a scraper as there is risk of damaging the heated window element so need to know of something I can safely use without damaging any paintwork as just had boot re-sprayed. Hints needed urgently, want this fitted or the weekend. Also, how hard is it to remove the glass from the rear window? Are they glued in?

Whilst fitting my time delay relay for the interior light i had to modify mr nissans connector but am now wondering if it was the right thing to do. The 2 door switches and the boot switch are all wired to a connector in the passenger side rear 1/4. They then go via a set of diodes into the interior light relay. My new relay just wouldnt trigger with the diodes in place, but as soon as i removed them it triggered fine. Ive removed the diodes and all seemed well, but it got me thinking, why did mr nissan fit them? Ive started to wonder if its an attempt to stop an earth leak through the relay. My gcse electronics is failing me now and im concerned th…
