hi all my car has picked up ap strange habit, when i start it from cold its fine, i will get to the bottom of my road about half a mile (driving v steady and on no boost at all) , where there are some traffic lights if i stop at them my car then starts to smoke vast amounts of blue smoke, if i then pick up the revs to about 2-3k it will stop but come back as soon as it drops back to idle. after 5 minutes or so when the car is warm it stops all together, and drives perfect no smoke and boost is fine and it pulls like a train, the car is a uk tt manual. with 66k on the clock pcv have been changed some time ago BUT NOW I checked the pcvs aga…

Anyone know where I can new exterior trim from. The trim on mine has peeled and is showing the stainless steel underneath. The bodyshop suggested peeling the rest of the satin black trim off to reveal all the SS but I'm not sure. This is the trim around the windscreen that carries on up over the t roof to the back of the car. Also, has anyone had one of those fibreglass replacement rear spoilers from Z Worls. Mine hasa big hole in it and there doesn't seem to be any products around to fill it before it's resprayed.

Just spoken to the dealer I'm buying from. He says the car's gone through the MoT 100% and the garage informed him that there have been Coilovers recently fitted. Would someone tell me whether or not these are beneficial. I had no idea what they were until I had a quick search on our forum and it seems from what I've read so far that they are desireable for racing (which I wont be doing) but can give a hard ride for normal road use. I don't know the manufacturer of mine yet but shouldn't they be adjustable for both height and ride? Dave

Well chaps, Looks like my cambelt may have snapped!!!!! Just wonderering if any of you technical chaps on here rate my chances of fitting a new belt and getting away with it? I was doing about 5 mph when it cut out and there was no grinding/banging/clonking at all but i dont know what sort of valve clearances the zx has?, I know on some cars you can fit a new belt and retime and off you go. :confused: Anyway do you think its worth trying this or just having the car looked at and engine stripped? I want to try the belt first as i see it as ive nothing to lose.. Positive opinions welcome... Thanks guys

I locked the beast on the remote, put it in the garage, left it and the battery has died. Result - I am locked out and the remote won't work becuase there is no power. How do I get into the car? The key won't work in the door either because it is deadlocked. Nissan UK were very helpful - just break the window...ha, f'ing ha!! Any ideas???

I now have x4 new Eibach springs and two new rear shocks to go on the car. Before i do i think i need some suspension bushes but don't want to add to much to the cost of changes the rears. What kits are available and at what costs? Cheers

Hi All! As some of you know in the South Central Region i could not make the meet at the weekend just gone due to having to be in Bromley, Kent for the whole Weekend! Well every thing was great as Usual on the Journey up! but on the way home last night this happened!! :( i was coming back from Kent on Sunday night and my oil pressure dropped to Zero while i was Driving at 120mph and the Engine started shuddering!! by the time i could safely pull over on the M3 the engine had made a Loud Bang and then sounds of bit's of Metal comming out from under the car then Totally Dead!! Engine Cut out before i could stop so i lost brakes as well..... Got out of Car!! load…

Ok. Last night I was heading home from town, and everything was running ok. I ended up catching up an M3 and we started having a little play. I was in 4th doing about 100/110 mph and getting closers, revs were around 6k. I was just about to overtake him and change into 5th as I passed but due to traffic comming the other way I couldnt, but because I was close to him I couldn't just change gear so I just let off the accelerator pedel which caused the car to jolt. Carried on after this and no problem. joined the A45 from the M42 slip road this morning. Long sweeping bend going uphill. I gave it just a little bit too much welly and got sideways... a nice bit of accidental drifting. :dance: anyway I took it easy the rest of the way to work because I thought I had left my Racelogic TC on 20% and it was raining. When I got to work I went to change it and saw the TC was set to wet???? :headvswal Surely I shouldn't be able to spin my wheels with TC set to wet. Whats going on?

Hi there you ridiculously helpful people... I posted up a problem a couple of months back when my Zed was peeing water out of the bottom and overheating like a big bitch. That time it stunk and whistled lots and water was pouring out while the engine was running.
