I am having problems in stopping my Zed ever since its come back with the mods giving more power. The stock calipers and Brembo discs doesn't seem to be effective enough. Today I panicked as to whether I would stop in time after a launch from the lights and then sudden traffic ahead. Can you guys and gal please steer me in the right direction as to what my options are (cost effective wise) in terms of brake upgrades etc. Need to to know how much one needs to spend parts+labour for the upgrade. Finally any leads on where to source the parts ? Cheers !

Ok. I've Got The Above Off At The Moment And Was Wondering If It's Possible To Test That The Vvt Advance Mechanism Works. The Inner Part Doesn't Seem To Move At All. I'm Worried It May Be Seized. Does It Come Apart?

  8. Saw SWB black N/A J reg with black/silver front number plate and *massive* exhausts heading North on Coldhams Lane around 1pm today. I was the guy on the bike who cheekily nipped across the road at the traffic lights before the railway bridge. You went over the bridge and turned left into the Asda/Beehive Centre car park at the roundabout. Literally 1 minute after you turned off saw a blue LWB auto (not sure if N/A or TT) heading South towards the same roundabout. Think it might have turned into the Asda car park as well, but couldn't see clearly.

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem with there zeds. My N/A import intermittantly won't rev past 6000rpm almost feels as if the rev limiter has kicked in too early. It feels like a fueling problem but i've read that the ignition modules turn south too.

Hi all Got my plenum off at the moment and noticed that the EGR tubes that attach underneath the plenum are blocked solid with exhaust coke. Has anyone successfully removed the EGR valve assembly without affecting anything else like emmissions at MOT time and performance.

Just thought I'd add this link to a really good test on induction kits. Proving that Apexi ARE indeed the best. I currently have an HKS mushroom on mine (yikes)!!!, but will soon be changing to an Apexi. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

Tried to check sensor this morning to solve an auto g'box problem. But voltages are nothing like what's in the manual. ie. outer contacts = 9v at idle and 0v when open slightly top 2 contacts = 0v idle 12v open slightly bottom 2 = 9v idle 12v open slightly Is that 5v and 0-4.2v thing just for early engines? Mines a '94 n/a. Thanks.
