    Their is a small black box (near the AIV and EGR solenoids) near the drivers side fuse box with a vacuum pipe coming out of it. Where does this vacuum pipe go? Mine is missing.

    Got the dip stick out and put car all back together. Ran her up and the new oil pump has cured the noise, yay :dance: :dance: :dance: Took a while for pressure to build up, which was a little bit worrying, lol.

    does anyone have any suggestions on mods? there is a wolf designs chip for sale on ebay which im thinking of getting would i need boost jets etc to get the benefit from this chip? someone also told me that u could use a bleed valve to get more boost is this correct?????

    just a quick question about my z, i went to fit decat pipes and new centre section exhaust on my uk t/t only to find the front pipes look pretty stock as they have aiv pipes into them, but no cats, i thought they had been cut out and a new pipe welded in place from looking under the car but it's one tube on my current pipes.they look like mild steel pipes as there is evidence of rusting across the seam. question is did a uk spec series 1 have cats orginally? or has my car had custom front pipes made possibly? thanks for any help in advance

    hi all. im going to go mad with my manual over the winter and next summer and as im going to try to make it a bit of a monster i'd like all your opinions on what internals to use (best, strongest, best value, etc). i'd quite like a stroker engine but i'll settle for a stock size that'll take HUGE boost. dont care at all about lag, etc. i got an auto for knocking round in now so im going silly with my other one. im looking at a single turbo conversion (dont laugh, i've thought it out and made the enquiries - it CAN be done) or 2 big ones. also, i want it to be able to rev higher (even if i have to have the boost trail off) as this will help with keeping the big tur…

    can anyone help[? my car is only boosting to 6 on the guage instead of 7+ i fitted a new pipe to teh throttle bodie today as mine had a split and now the loss of boost any suggestions?????

    i have just bought a new pipe for the drivers side throttle bodie as mine had a split in the top prob is now that my car will only boost to 6psi on the boost guage instead of 7+ any suggestions? also has irratic idle sometimes runs between 1000rpm and 1200 sometimes even 1500??????

    Hi all, I've finally got my engine back together after a top end rebuild and stipping all the emission stuff off. Typical thing, I've got some vacuum pipes that I can't remember where they lead to. They are on the drivers side and bolt to the side of the inlet manifold via two metal pipes. One goes underneath the drivers side throttle body and the other connects to th lower turbo hard pipe (both small diameter). I've removed the AIV valves, the EGR valve, carbon canister and PRVR valve.

    As you can see bolts needed :) The vaccum line was loose and the covering had slipped back to reveral the bras vaccum pipe. The middle injector on the drivers side was wobbling cos it only had one bolt and that bolt was extremely lose :o

    Saw a black Zed driving towards Southampton today near the Wiltchester? Services. Who is it then!? Little closer to London I think I also saw a Yellow Zed with a mid rise spolier but the central reservation blocked my view so I'm not 100% sure if it was a Zed or not!

    Decided to make a start on cleaning my dirty engine bay. Armed with a tooth brush, washing up liquid, tiny bowl of water and a rag. It's working, hard work and now it's started raining so I've given up for a while. Ever tried cleaning to plenum while it's still in the engine bay and all connected up LOL Well at least I've proved to myself that it can be cleaned as the bits i can reach look a lot better already :dance: :dance: Mind you I did discover 3 lose bolts on the injector mounts and 3 are missing completely. :( :mad: Wish me luck guys :)

    Most of the time, my steering is fine at all speeds and all road geometry. Just occasionally, it will go through a phase of sudden over-steer at 15-20mph around a constant bend - roundabouts are the worst. Just cruising round the roundabout without moving the steering wheel, and suddenly, some additional steering kicks in and the wheel moves a bit. No problem at any other speed/condition. This occurs for a few days and then goes away for weeks. No problems currently (well not up till a week ago when the autobox went). Wierd!!!! Any ideas?

    I bought a 1990 TT recently and have noticed a delay in the upshift from 1-2 and 2-3 she kicks up the revs and holds before changing, makes pulling away extremely sluggish. Once shes in 3rd no probs, anyone have any idea what might be the cause of this delay???

    Hi All, 300zx Z32 1991 My ZX oil pressure guage on start up is showing between 4-6. After about a minute or two of driving it drops to between 0 and the first marker which must be 2. Can anyone shed some light on what might be causing this. Really hoping this is nothing major. Thanks for your help. Paul
