Im aware that if you drive a manual you shouldnt do too many 0-60's or 1.4miles unless your clutch is up to the job. Im just wondering if the same can be said for a torque converter in an auto box? Friction shouldnt be the same issue? I know the fluid etc will heat up and you will be straining the diff tyres etc but can the auto box take more 0-60 runs?

well i ordered a set of springs and o rings today. after a lengthy chat with one of the guys from ztech he advised me to drop a bit of dextron in the car let it tick over for a while and drop oil, he said this may sort out the small rattle i have when the car warms up at around 2500 to 3500 revs, he said it could b a sticky lifter, anyway i put the castrol 10 60 sport edge in. after which the rattlin is still there aarrrrggggghhh :headvswal. well i,m gonna fit the springs and o rings wen i get them and if that dosnt sort this out then a box of matches just might do the trickk....he he. also been told to check all idler gears and tensioner while doin the springs.…

I have about 20mm play in the sterringwheel when you shake the wheel with the ingintion off .could this be the bottom uj joint knackered is this a common fault or do these cars have a rubber ring half way up.I know the 200sx has one and they change it for a metal ring to make steering more resonsive. If its the lower uj is it a nissan dealer job to buy and what sort of a job is it to fit thanks taff.

Hey, Bloody speedo isn't working again! It's not a converter problem, as I took that out last time the thing stopped working and then it was OK (until now) So.... it's either the auto box sensor or the dial itself. Now I reckon it's the auto box sensor because the steering is all heavy and the HICAS light comes on, plus the car keeps pulling back under boost now. Those things are dependent on the pulses from the auto box aren't they? Not the dial itself? Anyone got any ideas on that one? Cheers, Christian

Hello all I've order 60mm Greddy gauge with warning (not received yet). Then I order a triple pillar gauge pod for my 300zx. I bought one for 60mm gauge but I received it today and when i took the mesurement it's says 52mm inside diameter. So does 60mm have 52mm body and 60mm front face? (hope so  )

Lets start with a few facts then... Im having one built to my spec for my SWB 300ZX. Another couple of my Midlandz mate are joining in to add to the pool of expertise and share the costs. The cages we are building are "street, Strip, and trackday" spec, they wont have FIA or Rac MSA approval. The only approval they will have is mine and thats because I want to feel safer on the track/strip and I also want to stiffen up the shell to give better handling and suspension geometry.I am only having a rear hoop with rear and diagonal bracing. There will be no attempted "group buy" or anything similar. There was little response before, so Im not going near that again. …

ok, just to get an idea of what prices to expect if i did break it, what would you pay for ZX parts? i may be breaking a jap TT LWB auto if its going to generate enough? all bits there apart from some minor ones (like the splash guards under the ints, front bumper is N/A and so are clocks). runs really nice. NO smoke, rattles, etc. any ideas what the parts are worth? if its enough, i'll subscribe just to break it on here. cheers. si.

hi all. i have at the moment one of (if not THE) worst condition Z's ever. it has been crashed at least once and looks like a lot more. on the good side, mechanically its very impressive. no smoke, rattles, leaks, etc and it has good strong power and behaves very well. im just wandering if its worth breaking it for parts or re-shelling it? interior = tweed but very good cond, everything works, etc. its an auto LWB TT T-bar. N/A front bumper, its had a rear 1/4 (badly fitted), had the right hand side bashed in at some point, the door window shuts against the targa, front crossmember is bashed and bent, etc. but its got 11 months MOT and tax and seems to work ok …

Could anyone help me out here...... I'm considering buying a car that is, currently, in France. It has already been imported into France from the US. So my question is.... will I have to pay import duty, whats the going rate, any problems I could encounter with this route, etc? The car in question is not a runner at the moment, some people on here, who go to the same sites as I do, may already know the car ;) If you do would you mind PMing me your thoughts :D  One person especially knows, as I was talking to him about it on Saturday  All help appreciated  Dave

Hi, anyone got an idea where to get a Kaminari rear valance/bumper in Europe or UK? Don´t want to spent hundreds on freight from California. I like the smooth clean look. http://www.kaminari.com/products/90300ZX.htm#big_picture Would take a "360-style" rear bumper as well, if anyone knows where to get it. :) Cheers Alex
