Im just tweaking my install at the moment and have a reasonable amount of decent quality speaker cable (shielded and oxy free) left over. Ive been reading around and there seems to be alot of advice on the web regarding earthing the case of the amp to help avoid ground loop and i was just wondering if my left over HQ cable would do the job? Thoughts?

hi all on the way back from the jap show at santa pod today i noticed (after i turned the stereo down) that at around 70ish mph i get an electrical bong noise coming from behind the dash similar to a lights on alarm, i have only owned this car a few days and i havent noticed this before and i just wanted to know if this was normal and can i turn it off.

Just Got My Engine Back Together, Went Three Miles Down The Road And A Power Steering Pipe Burst, I Managed To Limp Home But The Pump Was Grumbling Near The End. Am I Likely To Have Damaged Anything?

So I received the HID kit from Danny's group buy and firstly have to say thumbs up for the service and the speed with which he got them shipped out. :cool: I made it my mission to fit them this weekend... that's where my trouble started. Found that my Clifford alarm unit had be fitted to neatly cover the access point to the headlight unit, so I had to remove that. No major issue, but a frustration. The real pain was removing the old lights. Managed the offside without too much hassle, but the nearside was a complete nightmare - took me ages with lots of fumbling around and resulted in lots of bad language and considerable bruising and skin removal to my right hand…

Just fitted hid light conversion from Danny's group buy. All i can say is :shock: :shock: :shock: . How the hell i've driven at night for the last 3 years (and survived) god only knows. Gotta be the best upgrade done to car yet (well apart from the fluffy dice :p ) Mind you took me a bit longer than 10 minutes to work out where to put the ballasts. :o Thanks Danny nick

I fitted an after market steering wheel ages ago with out the hicas Boss. I have been thinking about getting the proper boss (obviously the cheaper option) or go with the whole ellimination thing? what is the general opinion on this mod please. and could those who have done it let me know the avarage costs and benefits. Its 9.38 on a Sunday Morning, and the sun is out. The roads look pretty quiet, and its quite cool, but not too cold. I have not driven my Zed since last Sunday..... So its time for some Zedding! Oh I can't wait, I am so excited. I'm gonna take the roof off and go driving for ages! Oh I love my Zed.

Im looking at getting a new clutch which would preferably be good at letting me do launches off the light without burning the damn thing up..........the standard clutch just wont be able to do that repeatedly so its time for an upgrade as its on its way.............will be introducing NOS later on so will have to be strong enough to cope with that............rough bhp figures of 450 is what im aiming to get once its all done Would consider OS Giken but im not rich so thats out of the question.........so far iv looked at ACT and RPS.........is this the right way to go and which one should i go for? Also would it be worthwhile to get a new lightened flywheel or am…

Went out shopping with the girls today and left the kids with Paul so they could all go to the beach. Driving home we could all see something unusual outside my house. Got even closer and my friend squealed, "Theres a pink car outside your house!!" Bless him! Paul had gone all the way to Wales to get it for me as a surprise and had it back before I got home. Ok been searching for a while and can't seem to the find the exact answer I'm looking for. Basically I have a Jap spec Z and am changing the stereo over from the jap one to my UK Alpine one. I've got an adaptor from Halfords but is it the same for the UK one and Jap spec cars? The little book in Halfords only listed one type for 300zx. Any one know which one I need? Cheers
