Renault just use it. I've been reading an argument on the US 300ZX forum about it and I always thought it was a Renault sourced engine. Apparently not, it's a Nissan sourced unit. http://www.carpages.ca/go/conceptcars/2004_renault_fluence_concept.aspx http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_Vel_Satis I'm always reading conflicting reports. Need some hard supported facts if anyone knows of any.

Looks like the Zed is going to have a full blow over. Got the car back yesterday. Bodyshop's done a fantastic job, but unfortunately, the pearl white paint is so old on mine, a decent match couldn't be achieved. The tailgate was a reasonable match, I guess it looks like my car's had some previous blow in work anyway and the paint on the top appears to match very well. It looked spot on under fluorescent lighting which is odd as it's usually the other way round. I considered having it blown in, but the paint on my car has discoloured quite a bit and want a nice crisp fresh look all over. The fresh pearl white is an absolutely lovely colour and far nicer than the …

Hi guys, I need to adjust the neg camber I have on the rear tyres so took the Z to BMTR in birmingham for the 4 wheel laser line up . . . . . . . Well after at least an hour of fighting with the adjusting bolts the operator had to give in as the bolt/nuts were well and truely siezed on. His sugestion was to have the siezed items heated up (which will destroy the bushes) and replaceme the nuts, bolts and bushes with new ones. Anyone else share this problem and if so what is the best way of getting it sorted . . . . . . . I have also heard that if it is burnt out that the bush comes as an integrated part of the top link . . . . . . again your input will be m…

I now have my Surf, good spec so will be using that as she will be more reliable. I am sorry that I never got to meet any of you guys but I have enjoyed my time here. After being away 2 weeks (and having to jump start the car) I noticed coolant driping from under the expansion tank... It's dribbling out of the overflow in the neck. My first port-of-call is to replace the rad cap as this seems to have come up on many previous posts related to similar problems. Was thinking of getting a nice blingy one but they all seem to have a higher pressure rating than the standard 1.2bar. My concearn is, if you increase the pressure in your cooling system aren't you asking for trouble, like heater matrix failure and leaks from any other possible weak point of a 16 year old cooling system...?

I just took the zed out for a run after she's been standing for a couple of weeks waiting for parts. The transmission is not all it should be, and im sure its getting worse. Firstly: Cruising along, in 3rd say, slight accellerator causes a clunk, lift off and i get a clunk 'back', both feelable throught the gearstick. What is most likely to be loose or worn? Next up: When in lower revs then you should be, i.e. using 2nd in traffic when you should be in 1st, noisy rattle from the rear. And finally: Cruising in 5th there is an audiable 'buzzing'. Sounds just like a fly is caught in the gear gaiter if you get what i mean (and no im not going to check for…

Hi all, Its been a while, zed must have been running well. Anyway, went out last night for a blast and when I arrived back home and took my shoes off I noticed they were wet. Straight away I realised that it must be a burst water pipe or the heater matrix as both the driver and passenger foot well were wet, not totally soggy but damp enough. Now a while back I heard that you could bypass the car heating system (typical now the cold mornings are on the way). How do you do it, any help much appreciated as she is my daily motor, public transport is cr4p! Cheers in advance. Steve.

Picked up yesterday a MINT set of UK stock alloys :hyper: Just a few questions. I have 225/50/16 in the front, I'm guessing thats correct as thats what I had all round on the J specs. I have 245/45/16 on the rear, my questions are, are they the correct size and what should the pressures be. CheerZ Paul
