Recently bought a 92 TT manual with the intention to break, however I am having second thoughts. The engine and box are superb with oil pressure almost off the clock when starting from cold and only drops back to midway when hot. It is very quick even compared with my 94 JWT chipped TT, and someone has fitted NISMO clocks tp it. On inspection underneath, I noticed some small corrosion at the rear of the offside cill panel which is unusual as on British cars the nearside always seems to corrode first because of its locallity to the side of the road and susequent salt built up. Has anyone done any welding on Jap cillpanels and is it a complicated structure undrneath the out…

Well here goes i was selling one of my cars 3 1/2 month ago the chap came and left a £250 deposit and said he had the money sorted and would pay the rest on the next weekend and so was agreed to be done within 2 weeks. He then contacted me after the 2 weeks said the loan had been aproved and was just taking its time, i siad that i have other offers of 7800 for the car and he would have to leave another deposit to assure me he def wanted the car i said £1000 if he was def having it as might lose it, he said def havinging it and will give another £1500 not 1000 to show he def wanted as thefirst agreement had run out(ie the £250) so all was fine i used this on a deposit…

After pulling the plenum and putting it all back together I seem to have a very rough idle to the point where the battery light comes fading on and off as the car tries to keep itself alive! Brand new tested battery by the way! Anyhow I was trying to adjust the idle from the IAA valve but it doesnt seem to do anything to my base idle which is sitting somewhere around 480-500rpm! Could I assume that my IAA is a bit dead? And my car stinks of petrol... very badly!

Did a search, but couldn't find an answer to this: My 1993 Swiss 2+2 TT manual has key operated central locking. Is there a simple aftermarket kit available to convert to remote locking? I suppose it only has to send a signal to a receiver wired into the existing hardware, so it shouldn't be such a big job (I don't need an alarm system combined with the central locking, so don't need door sensors, etc. wiring in). Don't suppose that it being lhd makes any difference... Anyone know of one that is suitable and who might supply them?

Well, after ten weeks off the road I have finally got my car back and I have even managed to go a full 24 hours without buggering up my new bumper. Good considering when I got it back the first time a week ago I damaged it within five hours! Its had the Greddy skirts blended, a Bomex bumper stuck on the front, the little patch of rust it had and all the carpark dings and dents removed. Anyway, have given her a bit of a clean today and taken some pics. So pleased with the results! :hyper:

Does anyone know, or better still have a picture, where the oil enters the inlet camshaft for the varable cam pulley? I'm thinking of fitting one to a skyline GTR.
