Well my zeds now formally booked for end of Feb for its rust problem, as it needs both sills arches and the door looked at, as well as the new bumpers, and skirts, it doesn't leave much of the original car, so it's now changing colour... 99 spec front, with a black car.mad lip Kaminari side skirts and twin z lip, Twin z rear Wheels refurbished in anthracite And the body in OE Nissan EJ0 gold like I wanted to paint my old zed. Decided it's still Nissan, but different without being too loud. If anyone has any thoughts suggestions or reasons not to I'd like to hear, but I'm pretty set on the idea now, and our bodyshop are game.

  2. I was quite pleased with this as an image so just interested to know what everyone else thought

Anyone planning on some Driftworks upgrades, heads up there is a price reduction on the way, see copy of E-mail I received today below. Jeff Dear Driftworks Traders, We're pleased to announce that we have reduced the price of almost every Driftworks alignment arm in our range. The RRP on some arms has been reduced by up to 27%! These price changes will go live on our website at 9am on Friday 20th November but we thought we’d give you some advance warning so you can adjust your storefronts. At considerable cost to ourselves, we have also upgraded all Driftworks alignment arms that use regular sized rod ends* to now include our highest qualit…

It'll go in the garage of the new house once it's finished and I've completed on it! I'll either wire it up to the main lights, or to an electric garage door which I'll eventually fit, so it'll come on at the same time as either of those! I'll be tiling the floor, skimming the walls, fitting LED downlighters (it's an integral garage, so nicely insulated with a flat ceiling) and the Nissan logo at the back. Depending on how much space is left over will depend …

The original I took from my Zed had a blown head gasket. Do these engines crack blocks and heads easily? I'm trying to gauge if it's worthwhile seeing if anyone wants this for a rebuild or chucking it in the scrap pile?

After seeing the excellent display of Z32s on the stand and showing the general public these fantastic examples of standard models of the marque Well done guys I am wondering what cars will be on the stand next year as I feel that the modified examples are being shunned unless they are included in the display I have just located an excellent example of a very rare wide bodied Z32 and am trying to find out who made it and who has the moulds so I can attempt to bring them over to the UK so they wopuld be readily available for the masses who once seeing them would flock to fit them What I would like to do is to ask if there is any chance a car like this could be i…

  9. Started by BoostLee,

Hey all. I'm looking at trying to free up some money so i can start some work on the zed. It currently has a private plate on it. Now I've had a couple of online valuations but am all to aware that online value and real world value can hugely differ. So I'm after your opinions on it's value. The reg is FAZ 323. Obviously it contains the z32 chassis designation so may well go to another zed owner :-) Lee

What is the best wheel width and offset for a standard car? Please note I will be lowering it at some point though. I don't really want to mess about with camber arms etc I just want a decent fitment. I'm looking to go for 18" diameter but I am unsure on the rest....

If I disconnect the pipe to the throttle body when my car is smoking on idle, should this show me if its either the turbos or engine if the smoke stops? Thanks

In Greek mythology, a phoenix or phenix (Greek: φοῖνιξ phoinix) is a long-lived bird that is cyclically regenerated or reborn. Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor. So from the ashes or parts of Purple Rain she will be reborn ! May the new build thread begin.

  14. Started by Alic,

So today I fitted this strut brace (from Mondo's car) and I just need some advice on where stuff should go. Sorry if they are obvious, I am noob. The first thing is that the throttle linkage (I think) in this picture, I had to unscrew to make space for the mount. The second thing is that on the other off side tower there are lots of cables etc. The thick cable in the picture below stops the bonnet from shutting and is connected to a metal pipe. Once again where and how do I move this please. Final thing is that how tight should I make the bolt which connect s the mount to the bar. I did it tight but not overly tight. Where on the towers I did pretty…

Trying to resolve my "stalling when cold idle" issue. I disconnected the TPS this morning to see if it did anything. No change at all. So is this right, should there be any change? Going to get a multimeter this afternoon so I can check voltage..

I've had a search on here and people have had the same problem. I have tried.... Lifting the lever it doesn't open. Someone holds the lever up while I lift boot lid, it doesn't open. Use the key, (only turns to the right not sure if this is normal) still wont open. When I went to view the car the boot opened. LA Auto's had the boot open. When reading about curing this problem, people have advised removing the trim to the boot. What are my options if I cant open the boot lid at all? Thanks, Tom

  20. unfortunately one of our planned show cars cannot make the classic car show. details of why will be posted later today i am sure. is there anyone with a show ready car able to give up their car for the weekend, at very short notice? we have 3 cars already but had planned and have space for 4 if you are also able to stay with it, then a hotel room is already booked. our stand entry time is 10am, but can probably still get access for an hour or so after, depends how many other stands arrive early. call me on 07885 852047 if you can help.

Was helping our dealer principal sort out one of the companies storage units, and stumbled across 2 large boxes with what appeared to be zed part numbers. After some research turns out they are a pair of brand new SLICKTOP windscreen/ roof mouldings, he thinks they were ordered by mistake, many years ago, as until mine they'd never seen a slicktop It's a real result he said I can have them, which is great as I need them and they are nla from Nissan...
