Cant believe that i am so close to getting my zed back....its been nearly a year but now she is ready . just the MOT to do and get the sticky gauges sorted out then she will be coming home for good..... thanks to Jimmer for treating big red like she was his own ...for never giving up..and for sorting out all the niggles and glitches ...a few hiccups along the way but that is life with zeds... but soon ..very soon i will be a very happy man .....im just thinking do i need to fit small spacers on the back rims just to push them out a tad ...maybe 10 mm ? was hoping not to do this as i paid a lot for the image alloys to be custom built but the measurements were taken w…

This months COTM is now open for voting in the Competitions sub forum. As I extended the entry period by 5 days I've also extended the voting by 5 days. So the poll won't close until the 5th of November. Next months COTM will still open on the 1st of the month as usual.

Being a bit of a gauge watcher, I have always marveled at just how quick my boost gauge would show positive boost. In fact, it used to be quite difficult to drive her and be below "0" under most conditions. Up until lately she would pull vacuum on over run of -13/14psi and hit +14psi with no trouble at all giving a real smooth and yet powerful response. Of late however, the gauge and performance of the car has suddenly changed. I first noticed that in first and second gear under mild acceleration up to around 4000-5000 rpm, the boost gauge hits the -7psi and starts to bounce, it's only if I hit the accelerator hard to the floor does she get to +14psi but not fo…

I started car up after work and it wasn't running right, put it down to crap in the fuel as was fairly low and drove to petrol station. Opened the lid there to find the cap missing... Now the car ran perfectly in the morning so I think I might have leaned on the lever when opening the boot. I'm thinking during the day some idiot with 3 brain cells saw the lid open and thought it would be funny to take the cap.... It was in a multi story parked next to the door so in clear view of everyone who walked onto that floor. Tried an mx5 cap which fits but doesn't seem to seal so wondering if anyone has a spare to sell?

I know they are now beginning to creep up in price but I also noticed that the seatbelts are on the doors which means pre 1991. Looks clean though and low mileage if it can be preoven.

What rpm does your Zed idle immediately upon starting?

Are all Zeds Hydraulic clutch and booster arrangements or can I get hold of a more simple arrangement ?? ready for when I convert to Manual ? Cheers Sayers

rite i have a 99 spec bumper and i need to fit side light in the indicator unit the stock one is just indicator at the mo if i drill a extra hole and fit led side lights in there to will you be able to still see the indictor when it goes of of will the side light bulb make it to hard to see

Is it just me or is the 14psi boost upgrade, not that much different? I've always run 9psi, today was my first run at 14psi. I have to say whilst it was noticeably faster it wasn't the night and day difference some report, I don't think I've gained 80hp or anything, my butt dyno says it running about 330-340 if that...

So following on from the earlier thread about the master cylinder we now will deal with the front caliper`s which are by far the most troublesome part of the brake system. Lost count of the front caliper`s I dealt with in my time that were either seized partially or fully !! of the four pistons in each caliper it is very common for just one or two to be stuck fast and this is why the brakes seem to work but just not great, and given that many owners have already been told the brakes are rubbish on zeds it gets accepted.
