General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Hi just orderd a 2 point rear upper stut bar for the zed it goes across the middle of the back window above the normal position of the rear strut bar. Just wonderd if anyone has this bar and are there threaded holes where they bolt in .don't surpose this is gona tighten anything up much just for looks .being a slicktop too .It's made by a company called ultra racing .

This is a little complicated. My car is a combination of parts from 3 different vehicles. My shell is a 1990 import, everything else is off a n-plate 95 import, manual transmission, engine, wiring loom etc etc. My instrument cluster is from a UK spec 1990. Any ideas folks??????

i have sparco junior seats , where can i get rails that wil fit bottom mount bucket seats ? Where do you mount you 4 point harnas ? do i need a harnas bar ? and if so where do i get it ? thanks very much ;)

two questions I guess, is it possible to lower the physical height of an na clutch pedal ,when released mine seems higher than the brake pedal , if so how?, and in turn how do I lower the biting point of the clutch Thanks Sayers

Hi All, I have a 1994 z32 tt manual I've just changed the clutch for a stage 3 item purchased on line from the states My question is are there different release bearing carriers? The original bearing was pressed home as far as it goes if do that with new bearing it doesn't contact pressure plate to release I've pressed it to the front edge and it now works but doesn't look right in my eyes There is no difference in the height of pressure plate or depth of bearing Any help

Yep, yet more queries from me here! In the very near future, I'll be upgrading my entire exhaust system - it's currently stock to the rear axle, with Powerflow backboxes. As I'll be upgrading the turbos a little in the future, it makes sense to have a suitable system behind them in readiness. So I'm currently debating 3" downpipes, 3" to 2.5" testpipes and the rest of the system at 2.5" - is the 3" bore likely to be overkill on what will ultimately be a fairly mildly-tuned car? I've done A LOT of reading up this morning on the available 3" downpipes and the choice seems to be limited to a pair from Speciality Z or a pair from AMS. I've come across a lot of …

Just testing the water to see if anyone on here would be interested in buying my wheels, i've seen another set I like but would like to know I have a buyer for this set first there 19" but would be wheels only not tyres they are in great condition with no kurbing at all ,I have noticed a very small stone chip on one of the rear spokes but does not stand out and no one has ever pointed it out. I'm looking around the 350 mark

In the future (although I'm not sure when in the future), I'll be looking to upgrade my turbos. Primarily because I think the seals are on the way out on one of them, but also because a little extra grunt would be nice. I don't want anything overly lairy and I'm not going chasing big power or anything like that. I also think I'd like to keep the 4-bolt pattern and I'm aware this somewhat limits my choice. So what sort of recommendations have people got for something a little tastier than the stock snails, and what sort of price are we talking please? Go! :)

Ok this is not a new item for inspection having seen many cracked front arms where the tension road arm fixings pass through but the level of damage to this arm is a first for me and it has been a good while since seeing something so bad and dangerous. Forced by oncoming traffic to go kerb side whilst driving through a pot hole and the owner of this zed hear a loud crack and then the steering went very odd feeling, inspection found the nearside wheel pushed way back and rubbing the back end of the front wheel arch. Hi all, this winter I'll probably take out my engine to overhaul the turbo's. As the engine will be out I'll change alle gaskets, o-rings, oilseals, vacuum line's etc.. Now I can find a lot of all this things on E-bay. I was wondering if these were good quality or should I buy everything at a Nissan dealer? Same thing for al the silicon hoses, I see they mostely come from china, any good or better not to buy them? Greetz, Mike

Help needed! My Z has just lost auto transmission drive! With lots of ATF on the drive! Looks like the fluid is is spilling from front Right of engine/radiator looking at Z from the front! Highcas light came on too! Is there a pipe there? How much do I need to strip out? Is it better to go from under the car taking the bottom shroud off? It's not the pump or any pipes from the AT power steering side. Any thoughts, ideas, technical/mechanical knowledge please. Before I start getting to work! Art213

I viewed it as a spared car for the 99spec bumper but walked away thinking it probably wasn't worth more than £800 of anyones money! The speedo/electrics were completely shot, terrible interior, rust everywhere, sills gone, misfiring engine, and a page of MOT failures. It has obvisouly had a bit of work to get it through an MOT, but I would highly advise anyone to steer clear. I have viewed some poor Zeds over the years, but this was the worst. Best regard…
