Alright folks, had my zed for about a month and here it is. And you've probably guessed its an idle proble. I have done a search and read loads of old threads. It started with what i thought was a tiny rattle but with the bonnet open it appears to be coming from the engine bay closest to the driver next to the brake servo whatsit. It will click very rapidly and the revs will rise then the clicking stops and the revs fall again. From what i can gather it probably the idle control valve but i was under the impression that was on the passenger side? Also, for those guys from my neck of the woods where do you take your z when its poorly? I seem to remember the…

  14. After an old-skool look boost controller (something small and that looks 'period Z32'). Has anyone got one of these? I'm talking about the old ones. I've looked at the Greddy Profec A and have read reviews on it and the fact that it can be a pig to set up. I also quite like the look of the old Blitz SBC. If anyone's had experience with either of these, I'd be grateful. Thanks. :)

I've never had an auto, although I've driven one, but is the little check control on the right hand side of the steering column for AT models? The left hand side is fine, CC and HICAS plus others etc. I've never seen anything light up there, or at least I don't think I have!?

I went to where the car is stored today to sort out a few little things, i went to start it and it wont start! :( All i did was replace two of the spark plugs (as it was misfiring) fit my cubby hole in the dash and put some petrol in. The last time i fired her up she started fine, the only issue im having is a dead battery. Tried jump leads from my Volvo V40, but it didnt seem to hold the charge when disconnected, but even when it was connected it wouldnt start, it was just sat trying to turn over. Is there any comman faults? Nothing has happened to the car since it was last started, its just been sat on a garage ramp without being touched?? Thanks for…

Had a good day with the Z today! First, it passed its MOT, then I replaced the connector for the TPS, fitted a new TPS and set it up! Running a nice 0.44v now, the old one was reading 5.5v and failed to respond to adjustment!!! Also, a new connector for the coolant temperature sensor. A healthy zero codes on the ECU. An oil change too. I also had time today to machine polish one side and bonnet. Then polished with Meguiars DCP before topping up with Collinte 476 wax which leaves the paint looking so nice and wet! It’s hard to get the glassy effect on pearlwhite / superwhite, but I’ve managed to get it a deeper glossier finish now. The reason I wanted to ma…
