Just recently purchased a 1991 N/A auto LWB and have began to look over it. Looking inside my N/A engine compartment from the front on the right hand side under the main induction hose & Fuse box, there is a single connector with a blue wire which is unplugged. Any idea what it does? I have also have noticed that the aircon belt is missing don't know whether that is anything to do with it? Is it possible belt was removed because of the aircon is U/S? or did it snap and was never replaced. Or do people remove it gain more efficiency?

Hi guys im going to be putting a replacement engine back into my car this weekend with the help of a few of my mates,now ive got new timeing belt, oil fillter, new oil,now i was going to get new idelers and new tensioner,new thermastat,and new silicon hoses for the radiator,anything els that you think is a must to get, please let me no as i need to get all this befor weekend :eek: Plus is there a standerd way of taken one of these engine out,or is it a case of trial and erro :hyper: many thanks for any help.

Just had my tracking checked at a local garage as car has started pulling to the left a bit lately and have been advised my osf lower balljoint needs replacing the report states (front lower balljoint/wishbone play) can anyone offer some brief advice on the subject and also where i can source the parts etc ? and i take it from my own Knowledge it's prob best not to drive it untill fixed?:mad: thanks all:D

Hi car was broken into last year and it has been sitting in a shed... Problem i have now is its had the alarm taken out and it starts but doesn't turn off, there is only 4 wires left to connect but dont know where they go there on the ignition barrel can some one help???? its not the main one's that connect to the ignition its the ones coming from the barrel out!!! Just curious to see how everyones spool up times vary Mine seems to take rather long at the moment on stock downpipes :( 3500rpm to get to 14psi i know my ebc needs setting up a bit better, havent really had the opportunity to do so yet :( it does however keep pulling all the way up the rev range, 4th gear feels rapid at top end. This is all temporary until i order me some 530BB's :D

just been reading the 1995 service manual , it says when you pull on the drivers door handle the door lock lights up for 7 seconds. well mine doesn't :( does anyone have this feature?

I'm installing 3 gauges and was intending on taking power from the clock/stereo. However these go live when the ignition is at ACC meaning if I was listening to the stereo with the engine off the gauges would be on. Not a problem you may think but as the are peak warning gauges they start alarming as I have no oil pressure. My question is - where can I simply splice into that is live only when the ignition is turned to the ON postion?

I have a jap import which had a KPH clock in it, I changed it for a MPH clock and I was told that this simple change would mean I wouldnt have to get a de-restricting thingy for the capped top speed. But funny things have happend...the rev counter seams to give an average reading and doesnt increase and decrease when you rev the engine, Ive mentioned in another thread that my overdrive stopped working the engine note changed immediately as it would but it took a good 3 minutes for the rev counter to go from 2000 to 3000 revs. and the damn thing is still restricted! the car will accelerate smoothly and rapidly but when it gets to about 96mph the engine cuts out untill your…

Was out on the Mway yesterday doing about 70mph when the revs suddenly shot up, it turned out the overdrive had stopped working. I carried on to my destination, came off the Mway and pulled into a supermarket car park to get fags, I was trying to manouver to park and put the shifter in reverse...the car didnt move so I give quite a lot of extra gas and the car juddered backwards (the best way to explain this is it felt and sounded like the exhaust had fell off and was digging into the road stopping proper movement. I then set off and as the box changed up through the gears 1st and 2nd had the same sound as if youve worn your brake pads away and are running metal on metal.…

Hey guys and girls I have noticed that when I brake the car will pull to the left momenatrily. When I take my foot off it will pull to the right momentarily. I thought it might be related to road camber but it seems to be consistent what ever the surface. All rose jointed suspension units, K sport coilover with 8's and 6's, 8pots at the front with 350mm disks. Cheers all

Hi there guys/girls. Seen this thread with an awesome looking 300 and feel that I need to buy the front bumper. Haven't been able to find the manufacturer but the thread says its in Peru. Zcenter do a similar one, called the Cobra but it has extra lumps on the front, I like the simplicity of this one. If anyone has any ideas where I can buy one would be rather handy. Hi Guys n' Gals, Now, I only bought the Zed last weekend and today was only the second real chance to look around it in the daylight. Front tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1s - 245/40ZR18 Rear tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1s - 275/35ZR18 Is that combination ok for the car? There's no problem, it drives fine, I just want to ensure that I'm running with the correct size tyre and wheels. Having said that, I did notice a rubbing noise from the front when using hard lock to reverse into my drive today :confused: Advice would be most welcome - Thank you.

My LIGHTS warning lamp keeps illuminating on my dashboard, even when the headlights aren't switched on, and I don't know why :headvswal I have noticed the headlamps seem to be getting poorer in strength (not that they were very good when I bought the car). At the moment, all I can think that needs doing, is to boost the battery's charge, or get the alternator checked out. Any ideas?
