I know this is going to pain some people's eyes but I couldn't help think about smoothing the tailgate onto the body and making a small trunk opening. Does anyone share my curiosity or am I alone with this thought? Certainly different. I'll give it a Photoshop when I get home.

We took my silver zed out to a private road ( genuinely a private road) to run some tests on it, Baring in mind I'm running on actuator pressure only, and the clutch is slipping ( yeah I know not the best idea to test but I've only time we could use the road for a month or 2) I'm having trouble getting it to put its power down, worst was when the boost came on at 120mph it spun the tyres again, I need advice tips on how to counter this, It needs a big wing that's a given to help with the high speed stability, thinking of getting wider wheels maybe some 10.5 j to help, would softening the rear suspension help? Feels like it's jumping around a bit too much, I'm c…

It's been a while since I've been on here so I thought I'd drop in and see what's going on. I've not had much time in the uk this year but I did manage to get back and give the 300 a good drive. Unfortunately I do have smokey turbos, but that will be sorted next time.

I think i have Over filled autobox after gbox change. I was told 7.5ltrs. Only drove it a mile and it wasn't shifting up properly at higher revs and was bouncing of limiter. Was also smoke coming from what I believe is the breather on the gbox on the back right of the engine near battery! Does this the shifting sound like it's because there is to much oil? Or could it be another issue with the box I'm worried as not had chance to drain it yet and it was a used box I purchased on merit! Would also appreciate confirmation on the correct fluid and amount needed

Does anyone know if an aftermarket TT steering wheel hub/boss is compatible with a NA model? I know the NA doesn't have HICAS and that you can get different kits specifically for them, however I've come across a good second hand TT hub. If it would work, and still cancel the indicators, then I may as well save myself some pennies. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, unfortunately the time has come for me to put my health before my cars, never thought i'd say that, but there it is. After spending better part of a week in hospital (Again!) with possible Septic Shock (Again!!) i just don't have the energy any more to maintain, modify, look after, climb in, out and under. Also picking up infections in cuts etc which due to my low immune system (kidney transplants) keeps putting me in Hospital. I've been lucky so far, so i think its time to bow out gracefully. So i would just like to say a big thank you to all the Members who have helped me. I still think the 300ZX is the most striking sports car ever built and the Convertible …

Afternoon all, Just been doing the usual rounds on eBay, Gumtree, etc. when I came across this zed. Now, I’m cautiously putting up a thread about a car for sell. Although, given what I’ve been reading lately this may bite me in the arse… :whistling: Anyway, it’s a genuine question, born out of my own curiosity. The advert (below) makes reference to a “Nismo factory development” 300ZX. Now I’ve never heard of such a beast, nor have I ever heard of a “300ZX XL” Can anyone offer up any information here? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300ZX-Nismo-Development-Car-Build-number-5-/192048075151?hash=item2cb6f5118f:g:IEsAAOSwcUBYSEsm

I feel, perhaps unnecessarily, that I need to justify my standpoint regarding Zeds that pop up for sale and that are discussed here. So here goes. The prices are on the climb. I'm very happy about that, because it means that mine is now worth more (theoretically, at least) than it was previously. This can only be a good thing. :) But we're not yet at the point where even sub-standard cars can command high price tags. The two most notable examples I can think of where I've been seen to "knock" cars for sale are the yellow SWB that's currently under discussion, and Shifty's red one that sold in recent months. Now, I don't think that I've been particularl…

Hello guys. I'm looking for a bit of help. So im currently restoring a tt that's been off the road for 6 years. The battery light was on so we replaced the alternator for a known good one and fitted new belts. Battery's light was still on so I fitted a brand new battery. Light still on. I have checked all obvious earth's and wires that I can see but no joy. I also think it may have a drain as I fully charged a battery and left it over night and it was dead the following morning only other thing worth a mention is that the anti lock light is on. And also when I replaced the alt the thicker wore had a bit if green to it and was a tiny but frayed I'm hoping it's not this…

Well an interesting little jaunt out today i ventured over the border to pick up 300zx Aly for a trip over to Leeds to have a chat with a custom exhaust builder. The brief was to get some info and pricing on having a pair of downpipes and testpipes made to connect up to the exhaust i purchased from Dan. Came away with a very positive outcome in that he can custom build everything from the turbos to the tails no problem all tig welded stainless. He can build whatever config you want inc sports cats and back boxes with various tailpipe options. An estimate for a complete 3" system from front to back inc downpipes from the turbos is in the region of £800 fitted. My q…

Wanted to start a thread for my newly imported zed, but it's really hard to think of a name :-P Put the number plates on at the weekend so this is something of a rebirth for it! Swapped the wheels over from my old zed as the ones it came with had a terrible offset, needed 10mm spacers to get over the front stock calipers and thus only had 3 turns on the nuts. Tried to take it for a drive, but the front right wheel was catching so badly I only made it to the end of the road and back! Was then too late to adjust anything. Bit surprised really as it doesn't look that low, might need to stiffen the dampers. So not a great maiden voyage :-P Wheels …

Was at work the other day and just out of curiosity went online to check out the festival called rock-am-ring and one thing led to another and all of a sudden me and a friend are going to the festival and the legendary nordschleife is only a half hour away! So I'm thinking about taking the zx for an epic roadtrip and a few laps of the green hell. Pretty excited! If anyone has done it before then please share your experience, any tips or tricks is welcomed!

Apologies if this is an oft-repeated thread. I have a TT that is suffering from quite a bit of rust and just noticed the gorgeous N/A currently for sale on here......is it a major undertaking to transpose all the parts from the TT onto the N/A ? Is there a write-up for this ?

I'm probably being a pain in the arse now, but can anyone enlighten me on where to buy Datascan / Consult software + cable? I've searched in the top right box and drawn a blank, Google is also giving me false hope. I've found threads from 2011 and 2009 but the links don't work anymore. Cheers!
