Attempting to get a 1990 TT auto jap import back on the road for the summer. Its sat of the road for over 7 years so obviously it needs all the fluids replaced but what else is recommended? I've already replaced the fuel lines under the bonnet and most Vac lines as well as some new fuel. I think I'm looking at a timing belt kit and a full service including brake fluid, auto box oil and diff oil. Pretty much all of the breaks need done as well.

Well hello again! 3 years after having to part ways with the old zed because of heart trouble - I'm back on it! Happy days! Picked a naughty shorty from Mark. Needs a little work, but hey, that's how they usually come right! N/A manual, should be good for some fun

After some advice please, Ive owned this car for about a year now (jap tt) and during the time ive owned it, its been reasonably reliable, except for an unresolved boost issue and it now needs its 4th injector. Please ignore the boost problem as I dont think its relevant to this issue. When I bought the car it had a few dodgy "fixes",I think ive sorted all of them and interestingly it was sold with a bag of 6 standard injectors as it had upgraded ones fitted (it didnt).Every now again it runs on 5 and by swapping the injector with one from the bag it runs on all 6 again. The dropped cylinder is moving, so in my opinion would rule out a wiring fault. The plenum has been …

Hi there I dont know if anyone knows me. I am a member here for the last 15 years. I have been inactive for the last 8 years. My car is a 1990 Twin Turbo and it has been off road for the last 8 years. Even a mouse used my engine as a home :) Last 3 years i started bit by bit fixing it again. I change pistons, fuel pump, fuel regulators etc. Car is equipped with Greddy TD-06 20G turbos, 840cc Sard injectors, Greddy 3 Row Intercooler, the list is endless Last week I manage to start it up and took it for a spin and OMG. 1,8 bar of boost!!!! That was sick !!!! The acceleration, the power, Ohh My God!!! I was shocked to see the boost go that high. I try to…

Hoping for some advice- One of my z's has a single Stainless HKS Super Dragger on it which is not for me- but I know they can be sought after for the sound. Single outlet to 5", goes from turbos back. I have been asked about selling it but anyone know what is worth as I want it to go toward funding other things? Obviously would include the 2 into one pipe. Also going to sell the rear light panel in picture- any idea what that might be worth? Any help gratefully received. Dave

Following on from Richie's group buy last year, I'm now the owner of a brand new engine loom. :) Having spoken to someone recently about things, they're of the opinion that the WS looms are cheap Chinese things! Apparently the connectors are prone to breakage and the insulation unwinds itself after 6 months or so.... :( Has anyone who has one of these fitted got an opinion please? Whilst I've no doubts it'll be better than my current 25 year old Nissan loom, I don't really want to fit it if I'm going to have significant issues further down the line...

I’ve seen in threads that a lot of you U.k guy’s run with higher Bhp engines. I’m curious whether you have changed your brake system and fitted big brake kits. James will rebuild my engine to approx. 475 Bhp and ConceptZ is selling a complete Akabono kit from a 370z witch is on sale. I’ve heard that the front Brembo’s of a 350z will also be a great upgrade. What are your suggestions if you look at the Bhp. Thanks Peter

Right. Today I've been out with the Z. She's looking tired and in need of some serious work. Mechanically I should be able to cover all bases. But body work wise. I need help. She's going to need a full respray but I can only see the top surface. I have a problem with rust as the previous owners didn't treat it right and during the 11 years of their ownership neglected it. The two picture below show my 'Temporary Repair' to stop water getting into the car. One shows the near side bottom corner of the rear windshield glass in the tailgate and the second near side top of the windscreen. I have dug out the poor previous attempt carried out by…

Bit of help please. I'm trying to find what I think is probably some sort of threaded grommet. As I've been putting my car back together I've found that where very rear edge of the front bumper attached to the wing (so the leading edge of the front wheel arch) I have nothing to wind a bolt into when you line up the bumper with the support bracket. The front bumper has been off for such a long time, I can't remember what should be there! I know I could use a nut and bolt, but considering it's probably a very cheap part, I'd like to keep an OE fastener. Does any one: A) have the foggiest idea of what I'm talking about B) have a picture of what I'm miss…

.....This time in an article about cars which, in the opinion of the writer, went for a steal at auction recently....!! It could be a sign that the Z32 is gaining a higher, more desirable profile at last. Modern classic cars like ours could be set to enjoy a renaissance period, as more people in their 30s, 40s and 50s seek to buy the high performance cars from their youth; that they could not afford then, but can now. The only way is up, as one singer once sang....

Hi All, Just a quick question before I take a look at the car - I was in the Z the other day and the passenger electric window wouldn't go down (by either switch). Just want to see if anyone has had this problem before, whether it is on a separate fuse or something or whether its most likely the motor. Just want to point out that the drivers one is still working. I've not had any chance to take a look yet as I was only moving the car to a neighbors drive whilst I have some work done to my house, so I'm not at home at the moment but will probably go back at some point this weekend to see if I can figure it out. Just thought I'd see if I could get any i…

Got a leak so need to get another ps pump. I see you get rebuild kits but that's the kind of job I hate. Does anyone in the club do this kind of thing? My plan is getting a second hand pump, get it rebuilt then it's just a case of getting it fitted. Thinking of doing a recon on the alternator as well as it also has to be removed the change the pump I believe. Thanks, Daz.
