Where has it gone? The parts market I mean. In times gone by there were parts a plenty on here and eBay. I'm not just talking about rusty parts off breakers but good parts too. Obviously numbers are dwindling but the numbers of parts for sale are nothing like what they were. Obviously this club should be the go to place to find second hand parts. Thoughts?

Yesterday started the z to do oil change. Strong smell of petrol! Switch engine off & look under bonnet & underneath. Spots of petrol on floor! Up on ramps, could not locat anything. Car running for 20 mins nothing! Did oil change & wait till today to start z cold again. 10am started z still on ramps no drips on floor. Further inspection under bonnet I a petrol leak on a small rubber pipe by injector 4! The clamp screw was loose so tightened up & fixed:biggrin:

  3. Mine is a SWB but we all have what i am going on to describe, so first of all in a shorty then the fuel pump assy is behind the seats..... I know in a LWB there is just one assembly, which is like the one we SWB owners have in the l/h chamber, strangely though we have another and it's just a gauge read float thing so no pump and no low fuel sender on this r/h one but all this is present on the l/h one........go figure i know. Pic below shows the two SWB assemblies. Clearly you can see there are two of each type because i acquired a 'set' from a Jspec series 1 1989 car and apart from a slight brown colour difference, they are no different to my series …

  6. Hello all! My first post here, and I'm hoping somebody might be able to help me out with sourcing a Z32 300ZX for a magazine feature. What I'm after is a standard (or at least standard-ish...) twin-turbo model, preferably a UK car although that's not a deal-breaker. It's for a twin-test in a reputable big-budget national mag alongside another Japanese car of the same period. Cryptic enough for you?! Here's where it gets even more fun... you and your car will ideally be based in London/Surrey-ish, or at least able to happily travel there for the shoot (travel costs can be expensed within reason), with the car in tip-top condition and ready to be driven/shot …

I had an LED conversion done on my rear lights many years ago by one of the then members on here that subsequently disappeared leaving some unhappy customers, me being one of them. My driver side rear light is full of water and I wondered if there are any current members who are good at LED lights or do these conversions now and who can look at this for me? Otherwise I will need to look at sourcing some new rear lights.

  8. Hi all, I've not been on the forum for quite a long time and the Z has been just sitting for a few years. A full house renovation and 2 kids later I am going to now get the Z back on the road. Having sat for so long the tyres will all be knackered so I want to get a new set of alloys which will also do away with the current 60mm spacers on the rear. The car has a wide arch kit. I have seen some sets of Work equips with the following sizes/offsets but I need some help in understanding if they will let me do away with the spacers and fit ok? Rears 12x18" offset +22. Or 10x18" offset -33 Fronts 9x18" offset +22 or +35 Or 9.5x18" offset +27 …

I'm still in my research stage for getting a 300zx. What I was wondering was if there are any specialist garages in the East anglia area that people are aware of. So far it seems lacking from what I can find.

Was wondering if there was any resolution to the zed that was on here last year newly imported and had the VIN number crudely cut out ? seem to remember it went on a bit and many were suggesting the seller had a role to play in helping out. Now it may well be all was resolved and to a good outcome (?) and lets hope so for all parties, however do not remember seeing anything to suggest that, any links would be appreciated sure other members have wondered too. Help, I am at my wits end, My front wipers have stopped working, along with the wash/wipe, the rear wiper and heating works as normal, I have replaced the Fuse, wiper relay in the engine bay, and the wiper pod itself....Still nothing, Has anyone got any ideas???

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to start a build/project thread so let me know if I need to move it elsewhere. On the 3rd of December I picked up a really nice fresh import from the lovely people at Torque GT in Devon. If anyone is looking to import a car I'd highly recommend them but that's another discussion. I got a toy 300ZX when I was 4 and since then I've always wanted one. Getting a PS1 with Gran Turismo only made the obsession worse so for the past few years it's always been in the back of my mind to get one but I wanted to go all out and get the best one I could afford. Zelda is completely rot free, literally not a bit. I think she must have …

Hello all I'm back after a period of briefly lurking around reading the odd post. Im currently stuck with a dilemma about what to do with my Z. it's a Tommy Kaira Special and has been parked up for the past three years after I moved house. I have now moved to the Isle of Man and am considering whether I should get it running and sell it on (to invest in a 370z) or bring it over here with me. From this location it will be tricky to do all the bits needed (seals, repair bumper crack, fluids, tyres etc) without flying back regularly to supervise. i'm not sure how much these would go for now and I would have to factor in the cost of leaving i…

  18. Attempting to get a 1990 TT auto jap import back on the road for the summer. Its sat of the road for over 7 years so obviously it needs all the fluids replaced but what else is recommended? I've already replaced the fuel lines under the bonnet and most Vac lines as well as some new fuel. I think I'm looking at a timing belt kit and a full service including brake fluid, auto box oil and diff oil. Pretty much all of the breaks need done as well.

Well hello again! 3 years after having to part ways with the old zed because of heart trouble - I'm back on it! Happy days! Picked a naughty shorty from Mark. Needs a little work, but hey, that's how they usually come right! N/A manual, should be good for some fun

  21. Started by evilanger,

After some advice please, Ive owned this car for about a year now (jap tt) and during the time ive owned it, its been reasonably reliable, except for an unresolved boost issue and it now needs its 4th injector. Please ignore the boost problem as I dont think its relevant to this issue. When I bought the car it had a few dodgy "fixes",I think ive sorted all of them and interestingly it was sold with a bag of 6 standard injectors as it had upgraded ones fitted (it didnt).Every now again it runs on 5 and by swapping the injector with one from the bag it runs on all 6 again. The dropped cylinder is moving, so in my opinion would rule out a wiring fault. The plenum has been …

  23. Hi there I dont know if anyone knows me. I am a member here for the last 15 years. I have been inactive for the last 8 years. My car is a 1990 Twin Turbo and it has been off road for the last 8 years. Even a mouse used my engine as a home :) Last 3 years i started bit by bit fixing it again. I change pistons, fuel pump, fuel regulators etc. Car is equipped with Greddy TD-06 20G turbos, 840cc Sard injectors, Greddy 3 Row Intercooler, the list is endless Last week I manage to start it up and took it for a spin and OMG. 1,8 bar of boost!!!! That was sick !!!! The acceleration, the power, Ohh My God!!! I was shocked to see the boost go that high. I try to…

  24. Started by Dave,

Hoping for some advice- One of my z's has a single Stainless HKS Super Dragger on it which is not for me- but I know they can be sought after for the sound. Single outlet to 5", goes from turbos back. I have been asked about selling it but anyone know what is worth as I want it to go toward funding other things? Obviously would include the 2 into one pipe. Also going to sell the rear light panel in picture- any idea what that might be worth? Any help gratefully received. Dave

  25. Started by VGB George,

Good evening, I'm looking at getting a 300zx. Now the question I have is this. For the NA owners, are you happy with your Z? Do you have regrets for not getting the TT? Views either way appreciated.
