  1. Multiple questions, single post, hoping someone can make sense of what I'm about to ask. When I bought my NA shorty, there were a couple of connectors unplugged in the engine bay. I drove like this not noticing them for a while, noticed them and plugged them in. No difference seems to have presented itself aside from a slight hesitation if I floor it at low revs. Not sure if that was there anyway. One was on the back of the engine, dead centre, just behind the plastic throttle cable cover, the other on the left side of the engine, tied to the head (looking from the front). Pics enclosed. Any ideas what these doohickeys do? Second question... What…

The other day i was looking for a specific light part for my new zed build. Specifically rear bumber markers that are smoked in colour so it matched the purple bumper looks better. Anyways; the previous seller i got these from no longer stocks them so i searched ebay again and found nothing. Turning to google a few links came up showing the part on ebay which previous searches didn't show. After i logged into the US version of the site and added it to my watch list and thinking i can browse the sellers shop directly later on from the UK site i found that it was empty. Back to the US version again the shop was full of stuff that we dont get to se…

  5. So whats the furthest everyones traveled for the cheapest of parts within the UK ? At the weekend i traveled from Troon to nearly Aberdeen to collect a replacement rear bumber for my zed. And it cost me £10. Thats just over 170 miles and 3 hours 20 minutes to get there. Great sites coming back on the coastal route mind you so well worth the £10.

I am starting a group buy as it may help some people looking to go selin in the future. The main part of this group buy will be for the two 90° silicone hoses to connect the MAFs to the intercooler pipes seen here: You can buy these pipes from Z1 as part of a kit however the price is about $300 over the standard selin, which I think is an unreasonable premium. Cost of a pair of pipes custom made for us, is £12, and can be done in a variety of colours. Postage for a single item is £28, so the group buy can lower overall cost including shipping estimate as below: 1 person: £40 5 people: £21.79 10 people: £19 Price continues to reduce for every par…

Just seen they have titanium key replicas back in stock! And I've only just done an order :crying: well actually my order was from CZP but they're charging $99 for them, Z1 are $39! I want to order a red one quick in case they put the price up but shipping is a killer. Anyone doing a Z1 order mind getting one for me and posting it on? Happy to pay up front!

Hi guys, I got a CAS related issue when cranking with fully charged battery...no spark at all. I removed the CAS and turned the CAS shaft by hand and spark and injectors work. Fuel pressure also primes. Checked loom for breaks/intermittent faults and also checked all earths are ok...fitted new CAS loom connector and tried 2 other known working CAS units..same issue. I also checked cam turns when cranking...took the plastic cover off the CAS to see it turns while cranking. Why does CAS not work when on the motor??? What am I doing wrong?

So, I have two MAFs, my original and a replacement I bought from Ebay some time ago. Without the MAF connected my car runs fine, hovering around 700RPM, but obviously doesn't rev past 2000rpm. Connect the MAF and there's spluttering, missing, stalling etc, but the car revs beyond 2000rpm, and can be driven - just not well. I tested both MAF voltages today - I got around 0.50v on both of them. It was a windy day, which didn't help, but nice to see the voltage climb with a strong gust. Am I correct that the voltage should be 0.80v? If so, does this mean they're both faulty? I connected my original MAF, car barely wanted to start...so I…

Hello, my Hicas problem rose again. Now, I will search and finally find the problem but....I was thinking about a solution that might suit several people. Is there anybody who knows how the Hicas and/or non-hicas PS-ECU deals with the different signals? I mean, both systems have parking-brake, brake, clutch, inibitor-switch, steering-angle, speed-sensor attached to it. I wonder why? Speedsensor I can understand but not the others. So, suppose I do delete the hicas-system as many others did, what do I do with the ecu? If I take it out I do loose the power-steering wich I don't want. Is there some sort of piggybag solution? Is there anybody who ever tried to make a …

Anyone know why my indicators would now only work on one side (passenger) and not at all on the drivers side? Even when the hazards are on, it's just the one side that works. I have checked the 10A fuses in the footwell, the relay seems fine. The bulb holders and wiring seem fine also. It's typical. Tomorrow is MOT time, and yet at the weekend they were fine! Any thought appreciated.

Anybody ever seen this before ? My painter showed me the rear bumper to what looks like heat bumps and advised to change it out for a smoother one if I can find it. Looks as if the shape of the rear end has went wonky in the sun at some point.

so this morning i decided to tidy up my boot build, i've never been happy with the position of the amp and never really got round to relocating it, so it's now under the boot floor i'm still not sure if i'm going to keep the sub or find something smaller like the slimline subs. and same same with the carputer project great bit of kit but still not sure if i'm going to keep it or move back to a single or double din unit. i do need to either replace or make new boot floor panels as the old ones are a little past their best. so i've gone from this to this (yes i know it needs to be hoovered)
