I don't have either of them here to compare, well, one I do. I assume they're handed to fit the rods as they'll actuate in reverse. I can't for the life of me remember whether they are or not? Does anyone have a photo of both from reverse or at least be able to confirm whether they're handed or not? Thanks :)

Hello, hello everyone. I trust everyone is doing well and enjoying the weather :D I haven't been active online as much, just been busy with work and other commitments and other life responsibilities haha. Cant remember when was the last time I posted anything!! Over all I've been ok. On the other hand my poor z hasn't had such a good time. A while back someone decided to help themselves to my alloys, stereo and subwoofer. They smashed both left side windows and the rear glass. The same was done with another two of my cars. This all happened when I was away in the states. I was renting a yard and left it with a family member as he was going to be using it also. :thumb…

On my way to the PKK (our MOT) and as I overtake a car it starts slipping, did a pull just before I stopped too and could smell the clutch as I stopped. Also, I'm going to Germany on the 31. So this is pretty bad timing. No one in Norway stocks uprated clutches so I need one fast from abroad, I know rockauto.com tends to be very fast, they sell the exedy stage 1 full face and exedy stage 2 cerametallic three puck in the upgraded/heavy duty category. Any experience with any of these? Or similar? I have divorced downpipes and cat back, upgraded intercoolers and I will be upping the boost soon. Then next year comes bigger injectors and a tune... As some know, I'm often in the US either on holiday or some sort of Z Show whether it be one of the regional Midwestern shows or ZNationals. I was going to go to ZCon in San Diego in 2014 but timings were bad for me. This year however I've just booked tickets to go to ZCON in Austin, Texas which is the middle of next month. ZCON is probably the biggest gathering of Z Cars at least in the United States and possibly the world and is sponsored by Nissan Corporate and a number of high profile tuning manufacturers and parts suppliers and to many considered the Mecca of Z events. It used to be attended by Mr.K before his passing a few years ago. My main excitement is …

Hi all my old pals, long time since I have been on here, mostly because my love Bill is quite seriously ill. I was 60 last month and while most women get jewellery I got myself a 1981 280zx. A love very original example with less than 7k miles on the clock. all the MOTs to verify this, original bill of sale, receipt for full rustproofing and undersealing done when it was 2 years old. I will try get pics up. I have wanted a classic Z for a while, to suit my new age, but the 240 and 260 are gone way out of my price range. Have to say I am very happy with this buy.

So I unearthed my ECU today to find a Kakimoto sticker on it. It's a 91 n/a. Is it likely to do much for an n/a? The guy i bought it off did say the fuel economy was surprisingly good on long runs and i was pleasantly surprised at how little petrol i had to put in it to get it home.. Not really driven it much since as I've been restoring it, but getting it on the road soon. Is it a proper remap or just a standard plug in job?

the heat shields on my fuel tank and pipe filler were like paper and crumpled when touched, when removing them all the nuts snapped now there dos'nt appear enuff room to drill the the top 1s out, and i can't see how you can even get to the fuel tank strap bolts near the back axel so i could take the strap of and drill them that way, any advice would be much apreciated :hammer:

I've just managed to buy two brand new door cards for what I concider to be a good price. They are the wrong colour ( I can deal with that) and they are for the later series cars with b pillar mounted belts. I think I will convert the car to the later style belts, does anyone have an opinion on which is better ( people always trap the belt in the door at the moment) plus I don't want to hack up new door cards. On a general note I'm really excited about these as I have replaced almost all of the interior plastic and the current door cards are letting the interior down.

Struggling to get the courtesy light to switch off when closing the boot lid. Shuts and locks okay, but the light stays on unless I really slam the the lid excessively. I'm guessing there is a switch somewhere, can someone point me in the right direction please? Maybe just needs a little TLC.

so my car came with fitted with the Bose speaker boxes (seems to be original due to the looms for the amps) but all amps in the speakers are now removed and were wired to the head unit. i rewired them to run them from a kenwood x650D amp. and its been like that for 3 years now and it's "OK" i know this has been covered before but ill be buggered if i can find it, just wanted to see what peoples opinions would be on replacing the speakers and the options i have? maybe fitting a crossover and tweeter? (i know the rears are ruined as water has got on them)

So my turbo failed it's MOT the other day, very high levels of hydrocarbons in the exhaust gasses, I'm going to have a bit of poke round the car tomorrow but anything common I should focus on? Car is a 1992 turbo jap import and has a catback stainless exhaust, 87,000, fresh oil , seems to run nicely , makes good power, very smooth no hesitation and had about a 1/4 tank of premium fuel in at the time , any suggestions very welcome ! Thanks again Will

I was going to use my jack to do some work on the daily car today and realised I must have lost the blooming thing when moving house  so going to have to get a new one! It's been years since I've jacked the Z up with a normal jack as I've used a mates garage for most of the work I've done over the past few years, but swear I used to have to drive onto blocks and then jack the subframe from behind the front wheel... Does anyone have a recommendation of a low profile jack that would allow using from the front of the car to jack the subframe? (Understand I'll still need to drive onto planks to get the jack under) I think the main issue I can see with a …

This is where i'm currently at with my rebuild. Not planning a full strip down but rather clean and replace everything I can before putting the engine back. The question is should I strip any further than this ? There is a fair amount of oil residue and also general muck under the lower plenum so I want to clean the full thing up as much as I can myself.

Bought a set of hybrid turbos which myself and the seller presumes were good. Further inspection it looks as if the blades on the turbos are damaged so now i'm in need of some advice. Preferably I would like to keep them so what would it take to replace the blades or the full cores if needed. This is only one of the cores and I've not yet inspected the other. Looks to me as if its debris damage of some sort.

Hi guys I'm hoping you can recommend a good set of lowering springs and good spaces at a reasonable price. My Z is manual 94 na 100% stock. I'm currently on the hunt for some twin turbo wheels to run all round, so I need to get it lowered to get rid of the gap between Wheels and the arch and bring them out so they are flush. I'm thinking about 40 millimetre drop with the lowering springs and Spacers 20mm all round with the TT wheels. Thanks

Just saw this on the aus300zx about nissan starting a herotage spare parts program to reproduce oem parts for the skyline cars and the fairlady models including the z32. Cant confirm anything of course but my fingers are crossed this is true. https://www.carthrottle.com/post/nissan-is-restarting-official-production-of-skyline-spares/

hi guys can anyone tell me what the original alcantera colour is on a series 2 zed? i want to change my series 1 to alcanterra, and i have found an almost complete set of panels local to me, but the door cards have had holes cut in them for tweeters, and the rear 1/4's obviously no good for a series 1, so i may have to get my original panels recovered to match (or as close as possible)
