General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Picked up my car today having not seen her since Japfest :D Great to drive her again although taking it a bit easy on the new tubs. Boost controller not set up yet. Unfortunately she failed her MOT on a pretty serious rear subframe rust issue :( Going to get it looked at next week and hopefully get it sorted asap! Maybe then I'll be able to get to some of these South East meets I've been hearing about ;) Just nice having her back home again :cool: CheerZ Steve :)

After a year of the car being off road, I have my new(ish) block, I have my new pistons, I have the engine in bits. Just got to get the block rebored again and then, Im on the home straight again. I shall be Zedding again very soon!

Anybody play this? Im a dab hand around the nurburgring if anyone wants to arrange races and have a bit of banter on xbox live :)

merc 190 cosworth I really like the look of them so I'm considering getting one. Anyone had any experience of them? not really fussed about mods but must be manual and preferably black.

These are going quite cheap some around 500 pounds what you all think of these I think I may go for the 2.5 diesel version. Nice interior and smooth cars.

I am trying to install a program onto a Windows 98 laptop but I cant copy it into 'My documents'. All the files apart from one will copy, its called 'owl252.dll, I have the software working on a laptop with Windows 98 to which it saved and works no problem. The software in question is from the nineties and only requires to be copied to C-drive and a creating a shortcut from one of the copied file, real old software. Anyone have any ideas why I cant copy the software, I get a message ("Cannot copy Owl252.dll. The system cannot read from the specified device"). I have made some good friends on this site. Even though I don't have a Z now I will still be renewing my subs when due. I've been using the 300ZX.co.uk recommended insurer, 'Broadsure direct'. I'm now paying £450 fully comp on my TT. Unlimited mileage, now down to 3 points, full no claims...@ 27. Quite happy with that. :)

I've presently got a Z32 2+2 which is N/A manual. Although I like it very much, I am being wooed by the body mods that are around, particularly the vented front wings and raised rear spoiler. The cost and time involved in putting these on my Z has made me think it would probably be better to buy one that already has the spec I like. So I have been looking at Z's for sale but most of those that have the spec I would like are SWB 2-seaters. Apart from the obvious, what other differences are there between the two versions? Dave

I can now say that unfortunately my beloved Z has gone!!!! It was sad seeing her being driven away and I vowed that one day hopefully not too far away I WILL get another!!!!

Painted my skuttle trims, 3 times becaus ethe 1st time I was a clot and it ran 2nd time it was fine, was drying and it rained. 3rd time there sitting in teh kitchen drying with my now at home wife giving me greif about teh smell. funny smells like her fliping nail varnish to me. oh, also put on the worlds ugliest windscreen jets. looked good in teh box. absolute shit on the car. work well though.
