After all the moaning i'm just going to stick NZR in front of everything i post :) Right went to see Miami Vice on Sunday, has anyone else seen it? What did you think? I wasn't hugely won over, i loved Heat by Michael Mann (a remake of his old film LA Takedown) but this just didn't really go anywhere. Mann's got an ear for noise, the shootout sequences are excellent and the sound effects from the guns and from the cars/boats are amazing. Anyone else?

I'm getting itchy feet and fancy a new challenge. After coming back from the States I'm possibly going to apply for some jobs over in New Zealand. Just wondering if anyone has ever worked out there. Because it's part of the commonwealth, obtaining work visas shouldn't, in theory, be a major issue. I understand that there are always quite a range of jobs over in NZ and that skilled professionals are in short supply, although my chosen field of work is obviously a little restrictive, I'll give it a go anyway.

As its pretty late to book anything major we have decided camping is the only thing we can do for a quick cheapish holiday. So if anyone can recommend any sites they have been to with good facilities, lots to do close by or within a reasonable drive. Cheers Mike

cleaned the engine bay today, did all the way around and under everything. heres a pic before i finished the back of the engine bay, but it came up quite nicely. tomorrow i remove the headlights, clean the light pods and mounting points, pull the radiator for a clean and drain the coolant before a nice refill. clean some of the connectors and pipes, remove front calipers and strip and clean refit seals etc then do rears. so not too much to do!!

Out of interest, how do you perform a successful launch when doing a 1/4 mile run? What revs should you be running at and is it ok to dump the clutch or will you be sweeping the gearbox off the floor?

Would any of the Regional Event Organisers be interested in arranging with me a mini meet so I could spend proper time with the cars from your area. That way, even the zeds who can't make it to the shows can be on film. If I could arrange with you a weekend and a place, maybe you could get a group of people from your area who want to show off their zeds to meet up. Likewise, if you have a zed that you think should be on the DVD, reply to this thread and I will make sure I get proper time with you. I have all new car mounts - lenses and cameras - so some driving footage would be on the cards.

On the way to the Z Club South East Kent meet today, I had a little bit of fun with a 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S - until he started jumping across 3 lines of motorway out of embarrisment! I expected him to pull away from me, but no, I kept up with him and I still had plenty left. I was very impressed with my zed

I'v been thinking about my engine bay at lot lately as it's dirty. As you might have guessed I quite like shiney bits LOL. But I've also seen some very nice Powder Coated bits and thought they look nice especially if in the same colour as a car's interior. When time and money premits I intended to change my grey leather interior to red leather(MX5 type colour) interior I'm now considering the same colour for bits in my engine bay. Any thoughts?????

I cant believe it, i put some shiny valve caps on my wheels for jae. They looked alright had a nice little z on the top. Went to coventry to see some friends on saturday night, kept looking out the window to make sure the car was ok. Going back home on sunday i noticed that some little sh!t has nicked all my valve caps. Whats wrong with people these days?
