Well after a lot of consideration we got an estate to ferry the boy and his pushchair about in. A Vauxhall Signum, it's great, comes fully loaded, leather, climate control, SatNav, the list goes on. Forgotten little gem in the Vauxhall line up!

WOW! I've bought one yesterday from a guy on eBay for £89 and it arrived today! Fitted it to my NA and I am simply amazed! The car feels completely different! I can no longer smell petrol and my idle has smoothed out and the car is so much more responsive and faster than before. just wanted to share that with you as I am so happy it's sorted so many things out in one go!

Purely out of interest, see I got this 'friend'. He got 3 points on his licence (driving a fiesta - not a zed, 39 in a 30 zone thinking he was in a 50 zone) and he's now wondering: 1. how will it effect his insurance premium 2. does he now have to ring insurance companies saying "hey I got 3 points please let me pay you more money". Thanks for any help you can give (him). Al

I urgently need bellhousing bolts to get my gearbox into my car as I need it to get to work, so I ordered a complete set from Nissan thinking they're just a set of bolts how could that go wrong? Well turns out when I go to pick them the dozy **** had ordered a load of 50mm bolts and not a complete set of bellhousing ones. To be fair the technician who was there seemed pretty competant and took em back no quibbles, and ordered the right ones. If I'm lucky I'll be back on the road by monday.

Beer contains female hormones Last month, Oxfford University of science released the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer. Men should take a concerned look at their beer consumption. The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops contain phytoestrogens) and that by drinking enough beer, men will turn into women. To test the theory, 100 men drank 8 pints of beer each within a 1 hour period. It was then observed that 100% of the test subjects: 1) argued over nothing. 2) refused to apologize when obviously wrong. 3) Gained weight. 4) Talked excessively without making sense. 5) …

The screen on my laptop has gone blank. The PC works OK as I've hooked it up to my main screen and everything is OK. The lappy suffered a blow next to the mouse button and the screen went blank last week. I've been into both of my local PC shops and one couldn't do lappys anymore and the other would charge so much that it wouldn't even be worth looking at (£30 initial charge + £45 per hour + parts) This lappy only cost me £250 earlier this year, so it wasn't all that expensive. Anyone any ideas as to what I could do? Firstly I'm not buying a new laptop, and I'm not really into spending another £250 on something that I very rearly use (I only got it for ConZult)…

Having a family barbecue this evening, told my sister in law she could take my car to drive her family home as she hadn't been drinking. Normally a good driver she managed to reverse it onto a high kerb and pulled rear bumper as she was driving away . I don't know if fibreglass can be repaired when it's been ripped apart......ouch. :( :( :( Luckily for her i'm pretty chilled as i've been enjoying the sun and beer all day :duffer: She's pretty upset about it. Told her it's Ok and it's just a car

As some of you know, I absolutely can't stand Christmas, does my friggin' head in. Anyway, was speaking to my cousin yesterday evening who'd happened to go into Harrods and they'd just put Christmas decorations on sale!!! Can you believe it? It's ****ing AUGUST ffs! To make things worse, they were actually playing Christmas music in there as well! I feel sorry for the poor *******s that work in there. Christmas music has already driven me in sane by mid-November, but they've got to put up with it for 4 bloody months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :headvswal

Following on from :- http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=77840 Andrew spoke to Josie, John's daughter and she informed us that flowers or donations to John's favourite charity (NSPCC) would be at our discretion. Andrew has arranged for flowers to be sent to the funeral on behalf of the club. Should anyone wish to make a donation then they may do so through the club and I will pass the collective amount on. The usual methods are fine. eg. cheque made out to "300zx.co.uk Club" to the Club PO box address, Paypal to paypal@300zx.co.uk or bank transfer with a suitable reference .

Do you feel as sick as I do? A m8 at work showed me the paper today with the governments latest daylight robbery tactics for car tax. It would cost me £1500 a year to tax my Z and £600 to tax my 1.2 Punto. Who, I mean WHO the fook comes up with this sh*t If it happens I’ll be very p*ssed off. Paul

Some interesting bits here regarding wheel sizes : -------------------------------------------------------------- Quote from another forum: Found an excellent article here : http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/te...ht_wheels.html Edited highlights follow... Going up an inch in wheel diameter and running a lower profile tire is a good thing. A lower profile tire has shorter, stiffer sidewalls, which improve response to steering inputs and hold the tread flatter to the road surface during cornering load. However, it can be overdone. Ultralow-profile tires are more sensitive to suspension tuning and camber changes. And stiff sidewalls don't conform t…
