  1. Is this the kit from eBay... About £28? Just I got this sitting waiting to be fitted, looks like a decent kit. How difficult to fit was it?
  2. Gear change seams to have eased up, think it was just though not being used for a year. Checked the boot, no splits, so will try sealing it to the metal plate with silicone or something
  3. Ok so today I finally got round to checking this out. Firstly the leather gear gaiter just cam off.. Wasn't secured at all. So took it off and out the way. Next the rubber gear gaiter, I could just move that so assume that that it part of the problem. When I did move it out the way I could see the road underneath! Should there be something else there? Or is that right? I recall Jeff saying something about a bolt on a plate, but with nothing under the rubber boot I wasn't quiet sure to what he was referring to, any more advise please CheerZ Neil
  4. Looking for a new battery for the new Zed as the one on it is a little small. infact its the wrong size completely. So what sort of crank amp-age should i be looking for? and can anyone tell me what is the correct size for the battery please. What sort of prices should i be looking at, and where should i get it from. CheerZ Neil
  5. What you taking off? upgrade wise? might be interested if you have some tasty bits lol
  6. Just seen your in Basildon as well, My children live on Canvey and go down once a month to pick them up for the weekend. How long does it take to fit the alarm? Neil
  7. Would me as the owner have to do this every time i got in the car?? thats a good price, does it include the motor that is required for the drivers door to be able to use remote central locking? Also where would fitting be? CheerZ Neil
  8. Ok i know this has prob been done to death but i cant find anything. Im after a simple alarm, nothing fancy, cat 1 that does the doors and stops people nicking it. who do i speak to, what is there out there and how much is it gonna cost me lol. CheerZ Neil
  9. Think i'll ditch it, im getting rid of the Arial and as said thinking of the indicators as well. so might just do the lot lol
  10. My DD is a Zafira and haven't had a rear wiper since I've owned it. never missed it lol. I think the smooth look is the way to go. thinking about ditching the front side repeaters as well, but i still thinking what to replace them with.
  11. Was just wondering what peoples views on this are. i've got welding to do so to tack a plate in place and ditch the rear wiper and motor isnt really an issue. i know there's a weight loss to it, and obviously the smooth look. so what does every body else think?
  12. Anyone got a link please? Neil
  13. Right, how difficult are they to fit Si? And where's you get it from?
  14. It's an internal one. Sticks on the rear screen I think. But sure it can be hidden away somewhere else rather than sticking it on the window
  15. Something else to check tomorrow... The list gets longer and longer lol. Thanks for the help guys.... Yes even you Znut
  16. Thanks Lexx Will add that to the ever growing list I have to check tomorrow lol Neil
  17. Not when it's leather you doughnut lol :gun_bandana: ZNUT
  18. Yes Jeff got access as the gear gait or isn't secured so can get at it. Will take the top route I think. Sounds easiest lol. True it could be that. But will check all things, as need it to be tip top before the major work commences. Gonna to. Sort a few dents and respray the DD driver first so got a little bit of time make sure the old girls is running as best as she can be. CheerZ Neil
  19. If it is the linkage Jeff what do I do to rectify this? Where are the bolts to loosen the old girl up? CheerZ Neil
  20. Cool.. Thanks for that Jeff, will test that first. Neil
  21. A above when I do the body work I'm thinking of getting rid of the standard arial, welding a plate and smoothing over. And body used one of these window mounted ones that go in the rear window? If so any good. I don't want to loose the aria las I lists to the radio quiet a lot so need one... CheerZ Neil
  22. I've already thought about an oil change as it was sat for a year. And yes seen that MT 90 is the way to go, but looking it's like £70 for 4 litres, and correct me if I'm wrong but the box only hold 2.8 litres?? Neil
  23. Not sure TBH, the gear change is HEAVY as in it takes some effort to move the gear stick between changes and I noticed a noise from 2nd last night I the way home, not a nice noise, but only under normal driving, under acceleration it's not noticeable, same with 4th but not as loud. I put my hand over the tunnel as I was driving as the gear gainer is not secured and it sea to dull the noise a little. The noise doesn't seam to be coming from the gear box though. Almost like a metallic air noise? If that makes any sense????? Neil
  24. Noticed on the way home last night that the gear change was quiet heavy as in it took some effort to move the gear stick in to each gear. Now my DD is a 2.0 Zafira and the gear change is nice an easy, this is the first manual Zed I've had the last 2 were both Auto's so have nothing to compare it against. Is there a problem or are they just like that???? CheerZ Neil
