  1. Might be interested in HICAS elimination and suspension upgrades depending on what you have.
  2. What boost controller you got? what other tasty bis you got? might be worth putting a list up? Neil Might even be interested in my old rear bumper lol
  3. I had the electric Gandor on the Yellow Zed. i quiet liked them, never folded in the mirrors so never bothered me that they didnt :)
  4. Depending on where the dust is coming from, i.e over a low wall or fence. can you not ask the builder to put up some sort of dust shield? only has to be a tarp or something, to try and cut down on the dust thats getting on to your property? Not sure about a claim, but its bad show that your neighbor is avoiding answering a straight forward question?
  5. I was like that with the Yellow Zed, think i had the paint a year before it went on, it wasnt my daily driver though, just could find any one willing to spray it with paint i had bought, as they wouldn't guarantee the work. what colour you going Graham?
  6. why get a TT when you could have used the cash and got paint :tt2: lol But seriously good find there buddy. as to what to do... Drive the TT over the winter, do nothing to it. get the NA finished then swap and drive the NA and sort the TT. Your nearly there with the NA so hopefully wont take you that long. then you can enjoy the NA and all the work you have put into it and then concentrate on sorting the proper Zed :whistling: :whistling: Neil
  7. Happy 1st of the month to every one. :) Ive been looking through suspension upgrades and TBH i am unclear as to what i NEED over want i can put on... i could quiet easily spend £1400 and change everything... i.e Traction Rods Tension Rods Camber Arms Hicas Eliminator Toe Rods Front upper Camber Front and rear adjustable lower arms But my question is this.. as a road going car.. whats worth changing and whats not... not point spending the money if it not going to give me and the way i drive the car any benefit at all. Now Hicas eliminator is def something i would do. so any advise please, that would be great. Thanks Neil
  8. Nope.. Checked that. I'll get a picture later of it
  9. Has any body a picture of the back of the bonnet looking into the engine bay while the bonnet is closed? I was doing a few bits yesterday and noticed I can see into the bonnet and if I so choose put my hand down and touch the battery meg terminal. Now this doesn't seam right to me... I've looked and it doesn't seam like anything is missing off the passenger side trim but I could be wrong. Thanks Neil
  10. Thanks for that buddy, I'd 99% made my mind up before that post but as you say it's worth getting done while the engine is out getting rebuilt so it's a case of whipping the old ones off and fitting the new ones. So now it's a case of saving the pennies and getting these little baby's
  11. At today's exchange rate works out at about £1,047 for the 525's plus shipping import duty tax and so on. So about £1400 all in I recon
  12. Ok... so im looking into the idea of a rebuild, and got some quotes for that which im happy with. Im not looking for massive power as i want the car to remain driveable and tbh i haven't got the cash to upgrade all the other stuff that goes with chasing big numbers. Ive done a search and read quiet a lot of stuff, a lot of it seamed to be from a few years ago so was just wondering if the info ive read is still valid? Ive seen the recommended rebuild kits.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Turbo-Rebuild-Kit-Garrett-T25-T28-Nissan-S13-CA180DET-/130868893035?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e7864d56b And feel its something that i could sit and do my self.. now i know i need 2 of them and then to get them balanced.... so looking around £200 for that option. Also the car was an Auto and is now a manual. with going the rebuild way is there any difference to the rebuild kits that i will use? (i know the turbos as 1.75 + 2.00) also would the rebuild effectively take them both to 2.0? second question is... with the 360 degree bearing installed on the stock tubs. is there anything else i should be looking at upgrading? next.. what sort of power increase can you expect to see from standard tubs with the sort of rebuild, as i said im not looking for huge power but a nice usable 400 - 450 would be nice. now if i go the upgrade route then ive been looking at Z1 T525's. is there a lot of difference to the stock (power wise) or would i be better saving the cash and using it on something else? Thanks Neil
  13. No it can't hence the name velet key.... It will open the locks but not start the car. You need proper keys if you want to use it as an everyday key Neil
  14. I've been speaking to a friend of mine who's a tutor at the local college, he teaches the body work and spray paint side of things ( he thought me) Anyway over the half term he's clearing out the old work shops as they've had a new purpose build department open. They used to offer rolling road days and he's wanting to start that up again. Mainly to advertise the new facilities but any club is welcome. It's the College of West Anglia, here in Wisbech, (Pe13 post code) So was wondering if any of you lot would be interested? Haven't got dates or prices yet but I'm happy to be the go between to sort all this out. Now I've posted in the SE area but it's more EA area. However anyone is welcome for any area obviously. Let me know your thought son this guys and girls CheerZ Neil
  15. What did you use to colour the outline? Maybe a 'how to' in the FAQ section for all the bits you've been doing? My wiring skills are pretty good if I know what I need to start with, I'm already thinking of converting the rear lights to LED so to go a step further and do this at the same time isn't going to be an issue. CheerZ Neil
  16. Saw that earlier, cans been involved in some sort of accident, although the bumper "looks" ok, its a lot of money to take a chance on.
  17. Noz, there has been mention of piggy back and stand alone ECU's and you've given your professional opinion on them. I was on Z1 last night just looking at engine rebuild bits and came across this one. http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=6749{605}2906 what would be your views on this? im aiming for between 450 and 500 horses. would my cash be better spent on something else and getting you to do a chip for the car rather than rewriting this one? CheerZ Neil
  18. This is me a month or 2 ago walking the dogs through the woods local to me.... Pretty sure they had just seen a squirrel or some other poor little "tasty" creature lol
  19. not worried about it exploding but rather expanding and busting the shocks... have sent a message to KYB so hopefully will get an answer soon. wanted to fit them next week while the wheels are off getting refurbed. Neil
  20. Right I've pretty much finished the refurb on the shocks, but I noticed that it's stamped on them "Do not heat or dismantle, Nitrogen filled" So my question is this... Should I wait to put them on till after the respray, as the car will be getting baked a few times. The oven goes to about 80 for an hour but this can be adjusted.. Temp and time. Anybody had their car sprayed and baked while these were fitted?? CheerZ Neil
