  1. Having seen the wiring in the engin bay tracing the wiring is going to bea nightmare for any one, there must be 20 - 30 cut wires that have been taped together...... it's not a pretty sight...... I did reccomend a new loom but not sure if they do a seperate loom or if it'll all need replacing......... or a £2-300 bill from an auto electrician to repaire it all...... i would say it would tgake a good few hours to repaire and replace the wiring in the engine bay around the fuse/relay box and the lighting circuit.....
  2. I think what Andy ment was that running both lights off of 1 relay might burn it out, putting an in line fuse in the cable wont stop it burning out, what i would try suggesting is removing the power from the drivers side light and re connecting it to the origonal loom, leaving the earth connected to the passenger light. see if you lights still work then, it may just be the earth if thats the case all should be well.......if that is the case then remove the power cable altogether...... If you need talking through it give me a call. Neil
  3. Ditto... But Nick can vouch for my work... I got his lights working and he's not dead yet :D

Well i'll be sitting down with them both alot earlier than i planned i think!!! :nelson: ;) (rearrange the first 2 letters :headvswal ) Cheerz Neil

  12. 29 all mod registered, including special paint and alloys..... Me and Mrs fully comp, 4 Y NCD Jap TT £601. :D was very happy with that.. Elephant was the company, always found them very reasonable....
  13. That might be an idea... well i'll point Nick in the directon of this.. he saw what was done so should be able to take the power out and reconecct the origonal power, i did say it was a temp measure and really he needed a new loom....
  14. Luckly that is a rear wheel.. but still as said always good to have a spare rear wheel... i didnt even see it advertised.... or i would have had that...... Neil
  15. Both earth and power... so yes off the same relay, we tried a different relay and it made no difference, in fact i think we tried 2 different relays, known good relays... The wiring in the engin bay is a complete mess, ideally a new loom is required, but run a new cable as a temp measure to get them working. Neil
  16. Dont worry bud... would have been nice but hay ho... Piky's prob had away with it before the car was recovered.....
  17. I asked them the same question as a lot of the stuff hey have is for the 200sx and 300zx fitment.. but that was a week ago and heard nothing back.. you do find out then could you please let me know. Thanks Neil

  19. Well getting closer and closer to getting sorted.... :D postman delivered this today :D set of sideskirts and a few other little things nededed now and just waiting for a price on a new wheel.. then last thing is the paint work... Cheerz Neil
  20. The fix was more of a by pass.... Looing at the loom in the engine bay the previous owner had had a fetish for cutting wires left right and centre..... So the fix............ run a new cable from the passenger side head light (known good light and wiring) to the drivers side head light...... which in turn sorted out the main beam.. seams to be a fault witht he wiring on the drivers side, maybe a bad earth... but all bypassed and working fine..... not the ideal fix but it now works and can be driven safely at night..... And no probs but... was a pleaseure to fix something that wasnt cosmetic of mechanical for a change....... ;) Cheerz Neil
