  2. was it a series one you had? i thought the eight bit series one wouldnt proccess over 400hp well there you go
  3. where did you get your bonnet from Steve? i really like it, i take it, its fully functional :D Mark
  4. ive been thinking of doing this.... any chance of some pic's buddy?
  5. easy, just put a volt meter or light bulb across the plugs/wires and press the switch. job done;)
  6. reply to my question.... do not run the engine to 2 bar, the boost control can be set up to 2 bar, I personally run at .6 .8 & 1.2 standard intercoolers and normal anti freeze speak to Geoff at Z World he knows the car. - roger_cockayne
  7. the series one PTU would not be able to proccess fast enough to cope with the power of 500 hosres
  8. just asked him a question...... what intercoolers are fitted to take 2 bar of pressure. how do you find the series one PTU copes with 500bhp? also what sort of anti freeze are you using to make sure the engine wont over heat with the stock radiator? lets see if he replies lol
  9. now that is a nice car, i take it you like your Ferrari's
  10. hummm, always thought it was the recircs leaking?? i stand corrected;)
  11. goose honk is when your stock recirc valves leak and give off a noise similar to a goose honking ;)
  12. ive got an ally one peice and pushing alittle over 500bhp on the fly with no problems at all
  13. no probs, let me know how you get on Mark
  14. easy to get to from ablve, you just need to tighten up the jubbliee clips. 7mm socket on a 1/4 drive extention should do it;)
  15. no need to take the top and bottom hoses of, you undo the bottom rad hose to drain but, its not worth it cos as soon as you split the pump from the block it will flod out anyway just take off the fan shroud (if fitted) the fan and clutch, the alternator belt then the passanger side cam cover. you should be able to get to all the water pump bolts after all that. i personallythink a gasket wins over liquid but its down to prefurance. if your going to order one, nissan do one for the Z31 which is the same and will only cost a few quid. have a word with Dannny at DTA (traders section) for price of pump
  16. easy job to change the pump, not much of the front of the engine will have to be stripped but the cam belt can stay put. just remove the alternator belt, viscus fan and clutch then the passanger side cam cover (someone correct me if im wrong) then you should be able to get to the pump. either use a paper gasket or most people tend to use liquid gasket ;) HTH
  17. w4nkers!!!! lowest for of scum that crawl this earth. glad you got them running
  18. as for the TPS......... top.........light green and red middle.....dark green and red bottom....light green and black you only need to connect the top two though, light green and black can be tied back
  19. the one at the back should be bolted on (if you undo the valve it should come off). the ones on the throttle bodies are a little trickier, there will be a tiny pin that needs drilling out, once drilled out clamp the pipe in a vice and gently tap the throttle body with a rubber malet, and it should slide right out ;). the others by the PCV's will have to be cut. or you could just leave them. HTH
  20. hey hey, welcome to the club buddy!!! your just down the road from me. theres a couple of us in Ascot and Camberly!! nice and close, if you need any help;)
  21. dont forget to change the belt tentioner and pulleys as well as the belt, and while your at it, might as well replace the water pump and thermostat and oil seals etc..... there are kits you can buy from either Z1, AMZ or even concept Z, over in the states. which will have every thing you need;)
  22. with an external 16 bar cooler, mine holds 4.5ltr to the middle of the max/min
