cheep power plus zed's do not go hand in hand buddy. if your tracking it, the best thing to do would be uprate the brakes and suspension then power mods. neither of which come cheep;) i built my zed with track days in mind. have a look at my rides section for suspension set ups. if the engine is running sweet then you only really need to sort handling out to get decent times.
  3. ah now that is true Dave, forgot all about that one, single prop and all ;)
  4. in that case change the pressure plate and friction plate. every time i change a clutch, i change both plates at the same time. could be some thing to do with welding the fecers together all time though lol
  5. difficault to say without knowing a little more about your spec. have you had your turbo conversion yet? if so, could your pressure plate still be for an N/A? Mark:)
  6. theres plenty of stuff for the front suspension........... top adjustable links adjustable tention rods adjustable transverse links even shim kits available. lots of sites and lots of choise, heres a few to get you going..... http://www.z1motorsports.com/index.php?cPath=6_8 http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/items.php?Car_Type=300&car_cat=Suspension&CA=36&UID=2008102913541779.75.234.171 http://www.amzperformance.com/index.php?cPath=32&osCsid=k8in4sq3ojj8oepcpup1uahk75 HTH Mark:D
  7. got rid of all my sheilding except for the starter motor and fuel line shields. as long as you dont have any wiring hovering near by, you shouldnt have any probs. exhaust wrap is a good substitute if you can get to the pipes ;)
  8. for someone that knows their way round these engines, from start to seeing turbos should only be an hour of two, the whole process if comitted to the job will take a day to a day and a half. it would be advisable to check other things like clutch, turbo gaskets, water hoses etc while the engines out, unless your 100% sure its all in good order. good luck buddy Mark
  9. we've got one over here too................
  10. if its head to manifold bolts and manifold to turbo nuts that have loosend, i would certainly pull the engine although not right out just enough to clearly see the tubs. this will allow you to get a grip on the nuts and bolts to ensure you get them nice and tight. any bolts from turbo to exhaust (anywhere along the length of pipes) can be tightend with the engine in. HTH Mark
  11. cant seem to edit posts any more so il just add we live in berkshire in this new post :D

  13. lmao, as Nick said.... merc, dear lol started smoking round the M25, he managed to get it to a car park opposite to where we had the meet and it went up!!

  17. cracking day out, good to meet every one again or for the first time, was going to post pics of the hottest burn out but it looks like Stu's beaten me to it grrr, he also managed to get alittle souvenir of the layed on entertainment ;)
  18. yup, still going to be there. as Mark just said, its forcast to be sunny and dry later:)
  19. i would'nt have thought so, although the ones ive worked on have all been on the passanger side. best thing to do is have a look under
  20. dead easy, just a case of uncliping the electrical connector, then if memory serves me taking a 14mm open ended to it (could be wrong on size though)
  21. either on the oil filter tree or inbetween the engine mount and block on the passanger side. both easly visable from underneath:)
  22. hello buddy, welcome to the world of zeding!!! firstly, has anyone had a look over the car that knows these zeds? i would personally start by making sure EVERYTHING is running correctly from vac lines to hicas system. maybe hook up with someone in your area that already has one. the trouble with these cars is that they may run sweet but still need hoses/pipes renewing considering most are around 15 years old now. once all the running is sorted and you want do some mods, think about what you want out of the car as every mod tends to lead to another, from mild to extreme. maybe start with induction and exhaust. theres plenty of links on here to help guide you through the process. good luck buddy Mark
