  1. Starter knackered or dodgy earth possibly, have you ever had it before or noticed the starting getting lazy or sounding different? My money is on the battery...
  2. It's also worth noting that an average percentage of the front and rear is not necessarily accurate, you need to do them individually and get the front and rear as close as possible to each other whilst maintaining as close as possible to the design tolerances of the oem speedo.
  3. Deffo sounds battery related...
  4. Happy birthday Andy :-)
  5. Lying on my back cleaning, preping, removing for access, more cleaning, more prep, inspecting, cleaning and recleaning ready for the application of more underseal. Today's target stretches from the front subframe to the rear subframe. I also discovered a power steering fluid leak and possibly an engine oil leak. I ache!... Shimmying up and down, side to side, in and out... I have lots of grit in my eyes, which has worked it's way round to my brain so I now have brain grit syndrome and after all this it won't look any different or go any faster when it comes back out of the garage! Although hopefully with my bi-annual corrosion control program, it'll still be coming out of the garage looking the same for another 20+ years :-)
  6. Yeah them red ones are naff, why anyone would waste their money on a red one baffles me... Ferrari phoneys?
  7. Aaah, jacking on the sill makes me cringe!
  8. Back in the garage for some more undergarments treatment! Up on its new ramps at the front and the arse end up on axle stands, let the games begin!
  9. Happy birthday stranger...
  10. Better get organising then Ben ;) did you get your gtr in the end?
  11. Does anyone ever spray something on them to protect them?
  12. Yeah, the wiring diagram shows it too. When you flash, it switches an earth from the dipped to the main.
  13. I'd be up for a meet there..
  14. The simplest way is to cut the terminal off the earth wire coming out of the ballast (normally black), crimp on a ring terminal and secure with the nearest bolt to ground. The downfall of this method is that when you flash your main beam, your hids will flash too. Not a problem if you're like me and drive with your lights on all the time...
  15. Take out the interior rear 1/4 trim panels and remove the seat belt reels and you'll be able to see exactly what you're up against...
  16. Haha don't do it down the motorway! Just the low speed cruising when you here the noise. It's quite common that the bonnet catch (the primary catch) starts to make this noise over time and the sound can be difficult to trace. There is a fix but I just spray mine with a dry film lubricant once a year or so.
  17. When your driving along and it's making the noise, try pulling your bonnet catch and see if it stops...
  18. Can you take a picture of the head, I may be able to help...
  19. Happy birthday matey
  20. Welcome :-)
