  1. I did mine myself and it was dead easy but I did have the engine out at the time :) There's nothing difficult about it just the agony of lying on your back trying to get the clutch pedal bolts in under the dash LOL
  2. I actually had a guy in a petrol station ask me if my car was a Bugatti EB110 :slap: :D

The specialist fuels are quite interesting :D
  4. Did you see the FQ 400 or whatever it is on Top Gear? Massive boost but when in the wrong gear a Fiat Punto or something out ran it LOL The one at the dyno day was running 2.0bar on a 2.0L engine and didn't make 400bhp I don't think. Pretty highly strung really.

Tell me about it, mine is off the road cos I can't afford to run it  Alcohol and other race fuels are used to give more power but MUCH more expensive. You could maybe set up a series of stills at home and make your own alcohol based fuels on the industrial scale required to run a Z but it's illegal, dangerous and you'd have to pay massive tax LOL :slap:
  6. Aaaaaaaw have a big HUGGGGG hunnipie! :D
  7. They're not that powerful, only about 60bhp more than a stock Z so a boost upgrade changes all that. The Evo at the recent dyno day was a dismal display of power LOL The Z's put everything to shame and none were that highly modified. As for handling you're comparing a 15 year old car to new. If you sort the suspension back to factory spec or better then you won't find such a difference. Worst of all though the Evo's are ugly as sin family shopping cars
  8. Shouldn't you be picking the kids up from school at this time and getting ready to make dinner for hubby? :x:

Are you serious??  If you're worried about fuel costs you shouldn't be buying a 3.0L twin turbo sports car
  10. Yes he was taking the piss the way he said it but at least he offered. I'd have just asked if you needed a hand. and some help with the car ;)
  11. I used to get charged out at that for my IT work but now I'm getting people competing on £20 per hour. It's all changed round, I'd be better off as a mechanic now
  12. Well done Miss Pie ;) Most girls are useless though lets be honest  My ex had to ask me if I could fix her bonnet that was stuck down the other day. She said it had jammed down and she couldn't get her hand under it to pull the lever and lift it up. I reminded her of the release lever in the car! and I've been out with 2 girls recently who have NEVER put petrol in their cars themselves - boyfriend has to do it
  13. Depends how far you're wanting to go with things. Those turbo's will go well beyond 500bhp and you could get something smaller and much cheaper for that kind of power. The Greddy's (not sure about the HKS) need a lot of other modifications to fit they don't just bolt on easy. As far as I know the spool up isn't that different they're much better turbo's all round.
  14. LOL nice one
  15. You need: Gearbox ;) Clutch Flywheel Spacer plate thingy between box and engine. New Release and Spigot bearings Front section of manual prop. Master cylinder (Later models had bleed nipple which is better) Slave cylinder (I'd use new) Clutch pedal and booster Brake pedal Clutch pipes from inner wing Manual alternator/box harness Vacuum tanks from inside drivers wing near AIV's Balance bar from manual car Vacuum pipes from balance bar to master cylinder. I think thats about it really it's pretty straight forward but you need to solder a few wires on the harness to join it in and getting the pedal in is a real pain.
  16. Another common one that really pisses me off is: "Can I lend a tenner?" or "Will you borrow me £20" :slap: It's can I borrow or will you lend me FFS!
  17. I use those a lot...
  18. Gorgeoussssss! It will kick ass with those turbos on too :o :D
  19. Yeah I've got 850bhp on my drive if you include the boat and my Vauxhall Ashtray Estate :D  I've killed an RS6, Jag XK-R, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, lots of Boxters and Coxsters LOL Pretty even with a 911 Turbo last time I tried 2 years ago but I reckon I can do one these days ;)
  20. Yes so she's using her account to list it for him? Just like I put stuff on eBay for friends from time to time
  21. Don't really see anything wrong with that advert, the power is easily possible with those parts. He does say it wasn't built by him and he's more of a biker so he's unlikely to know the exact spec. If it's got forged internals and all the other bits you can gaurantee it had injectors done. It also says it has a toughened auto box so presumably something like SE's fast road rebuild. I certainly wouldn't let anyone drive my car and trash it on a test drive, 520bhp is a lot of power in the hands of anyone, let alone some idiot you don't know.
  22. In Bulgaria? You could try Z Centre: http://www.zcentre.co.uk/ or Courtesy Nissan US: http://www.courtesyparts.com/
  23. You should know by now I'm always right ;) All the belts have to come off to do the alternator belt and chances are the others are in a similar state and about to go. Doesn't excuse the prices though :(
  24. My fan belt needs changing, how much does she charge? :D
