  1. LOL well the Redline MT90 I'm about to buy comes in quarts so who's laughing now! :D
  2. Might as well drain and refill the manual box I'm fitting. How much does it hold?
  3. Must be playing chicken ;) and thats about the only thing we didn't hit :D
  4. I just saw a badger spinning in the road and went over it with my wheels :o Then saw a rabbit spinning round on its back legs like some kind of pissed ballet dancer!
  5. I gave Macca a lift to collect his Z from GPS last night and called at Mr Duffs afterwards. On the way back in convoy along the A59 we managed to hit half the UK's wildlife  Score:- Moths: 30 ish Bats: 1 Rabbits: 1 Cats: 1 Badgers: 2 (Only 1 but we both ran over it!) And I only just fixed my Pug 206 after hitting a Deer a month or 2 ago :(
  6. Stick it where the sun don't shine! :D
  7. Rays? ;) Adam, I don't think you'll get any wide 18's with tyres for £1K all in. I think my Azev A's cost £850 plus £650 for tyres = £1500 and they were about the cheapest wheels and tyres around at the time. That was 8.5" front, 10" rears with 245's and 285's. Maybe 2nd hand?
  8. And there's a feature on a Nismo upgrade too: f you're worried the Nissan 350Z might not be quick enough for you, don't fret - a 300bhp tuning pack is to be offered when the car goes on sale in October. The kit has been produced by the Japanese maker's motorsport division, NisMo, and will be the first in a series of uprated mainstream Nissan models which are bound for UK showrooms. The 350Z's performance pack - due to be announced at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next weekend - is to be offered through dealers as an option. It includes a stainless steel exhaust, reprogrammed engine management system and a new air filter to boost power from 276bhp to 300bhp. Torque will increase from 363Nm to 380Nm. While the upgrade's cost has yet to be finalised, it's expected to be about £1,000. Another £1,500 will buy a styling pack called the NisMo Aero Kit. This includes side skirts, a race-style rear spoiler and special lightweight wheels. NisMo add-ons are also set to filter down through the rest of the Nissan range, and an insider has hinted that the Micra is next in line for the tweaks. "We're aware the Micra has a somewhat feminine image, so a performance model is the way to appeal to a male audience," said our source. "Just look at Renault's Clio - it used to be Nicole's car, but the 172 and V6 have made it desirable to young men." The NisMo-tuned Micra will use an uprated version of the 1.4-litre engine and feature suspension and styling modifications.
  9. I was going to go for the fast road rebuild but it would have cost around £1900 all in! As my engine was out it seemed like and easy job to do the conversion at the same time so I got a manual box and all the conversion bits for about £550. £1350 is quite a saving if you do it yourself! Normally though you are looking at £1000 labour at SE or (I think) £750 at Z Centre to fit it all. Haven't finished the job yet so I can't comment on the chnage but should be done in the next 2 weeks.
  10. LOL I took that picture out of the window on the way home. I cruised past like he was standing still ;) but he wasn't :D
  11. LMAO I wondered when these pictures would turn up! We should form a Z Rally team after getting that engine and box out in about 2 hours! I thought it would take 2 days. Luckily you mechanics had an expert to manage the project! ;)

Is this the one that has a detonation meter built in? I thought about getting one instead of a HKS AFR but don't know if it might look a bit odd with all the other gauges & gadgets I've got.

When is it then? My Z might actually make it this time too... WOW! :D
  14. Yeah Andy, thats what I've just bought for £9 at Halfords. Dot 5.1 is previously the highest rated but this Dot 4.1 Castrol Response stuff is said to exceed the 5.1 specs and has a higher boiling point so sounds good to me. Will be putting it in my new Brembos and braided hoses so I will probably not notice the difference the fluid alone makes!
  15. How about a spit roast then JX? :p
  16. 4 wheel drive stuff will almost always be quicker off the line but I'd say that from 20mph up there's not much will catch you other than "proper" supercars. I've cruised past Scooby WRX STi's and Porsche Boxters etc with no problem.
  17. I know it's now been updated to the ALC II but I'm not sure what the difference is. Make sure you get the Z32 harness to connect it all in. All you have to do is plug the ALC between the cable that goes to the auto box controller and the controller itself. Literally a 5 minute job for a great improvement.
  18. Check you haven't overtightened the big connectors for the ECU etc as they can bow out at the edges and cause bad connections. Does sound like the PTU wiring though.

Mine started missing and spluttering then died. Wouldn't restart for about 15 mins until it had cooled down. Did a couple of miles and the same again. Eventually got it home in about 5 stops and a couple of hours! For a long time before that I had a problem starting from very hot. Every time I did a long motorway thrash I would stop and the car wouldn't start for 20 mins but was fine before and after.
  20. This might sort it if the problem is down to the suspension towers rusting through and collapsing - a strut brace will keep the wheels upright for a few more days ;)
  21. I think it is GUARANTEED to get on the show! :D I too have seen this fine machine in the "flesh" and it is truly a sight to behold. The amount of work that has gone into it is impressive...
  22. No problem Tony ;) They are dead easy to fit in 5 mins so I don't know why more people don't have 'em. Lift the passenger floor panel and plug in a couple of cables and thats it!
  23. As me and my ex "Mrs" are still living in the same house and she has nowhere to go yet I'm DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and PAYING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! If she wants out with another bloke then she can do it all until the house sells! :D
  24. Roy, LOL Yeah but you still couldn't rise to the challenge of showing us any pics of girls in Z's which was what it was all about! :D Or any pics AT ALL for that matter! LOL I think you bought a Supra cos they're more attractive to young boys :D
  25. Does everybody have PTFE tape knocking about you clown or is it only kept at the circus? :D LOL
