  1. Vijay, It sounds like the leak is before the turbos from the intake? If you are getting boost then the rest of the system must be fairly well sealed but could still have a problem. Trace the hoses from the intake to the big flexy pipes under/behind the headlights then down the side of the engine onto the cold air inlet of the turbo. There are joins on the Y pipe of the intake, under the headlights, onto the hardpipes down the side of the engine and then at the turbo itself. If you can get this lot to pressurise then you might be able to find another leak further back in the system.
  2. LOL You are not the only victim of the weather. I saw a huge St Bernard dog that had collapsed on the pavement today and 3 men trying to get it on a stretcher to take it to the vet! Was funny to see but I'm sure the dog wasn't so happy! :D
  3. One of these then... 425bhp, 186mph, 0-60 in 4.0 seconds. Does look a bit naff though!
  4. You could keep the TT disks and swap the rest of the car to fit them... ;) :D

Have you got that small item fitted that you brought back from Billing Paul? ;) Can't wait to see that! :D

Reminds me of years ago doing 130mph in my brothers Opel Manta GTE. The car suddenly ran rough and spluttered to a crawl so we got out and looked under the bonnet with the engine still running. Fuel was spraying in a jet as thick as your little finger onto the glowing manifold! :o We switched it off pretty damn quick! :D Luckily the manifold was so hot the fuel just vapourised but it could have been real nasty.
  7. It's not the connectors for the boost solenoid thingies is it? There would be one each side of the engine towards the back. They might have been disconnected if you have some kind of boost controller fitted...
  8. Had you just murdered someone with a machete before you took that pic? :D Very messy! :o
  9. Well there is some good news for speeders: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lancashire/3113107.stm A speeding conviction against soccer star Dwight Yorke has been overturned by the High Court. On Thursday judges sitting in London, ruled the case against the Blackburn Rover striker had been "fatally flawed". Yorke had told the court he should be acquitted because a police form used as evidence did not have his signature on it. The case will have implications for drivers in the UK because of the increase in the use of speed camera evidence in court. The 31-year-old was convicted by magistrates in Manchester of driving his Porsche 911 at 61mph in Princess Road, Withington, Manchester, in May 2001. However, Mr Justice Owen said because there was no signature on the form to prove the identity of Yorke as the driver the conviction should be set aside. Lawyers for Yorke and Michael Mawdesley, another motorist also convicted of speeding, argued in the High Court that magistrates were wrong to accept the unsigned forms as admissible evidence that they were the guilty drivers. :D So fill out your forms and post them back with no signature! :D
  10. The only problem with my snap-off wheel is when you go into town shopping or nip out to the pub. You just can't realistically take the wheel with you. It's great overnight at home or at work but if I have to park it somewhere when I'm out I usually have to hide it in the boot. I'm sure a thief wouldn't break in and get past the alarm/immobiliser on the off chance of the wheel being in the car though. Has anybody changed their alarm from one model to another? I've got an Autowatch and both remotes are knackered (one is still working but the casing is in bits). It will cost a bit to get 2 new ones and I can't find the original code sticker they came with. I fancy a new Clifford with full closure and remote start etc but don't know if it will cost a fortune to take the old system out?
  11. Also it's Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Dexron II or III you need to use.
  12. It's the big green pot on top of the drivers side wheel arch. Almost definately needs topping up. Is the red HICAS light not lit on the dash? If the level is low enough to be making a noise then the light should be on. If you bought it from a dodgy dealer like I did you'll find they pulled the bulb out to hide a fault...
  13. ;) Errrrr I got close enough to the lake as it was mate!
  14. I've been having trouble resizing it down to fit on my 20" monitor mate ;) I'll see what I can do!

  19. I used Plasticote from Halfords. They do matt or gloss and it's good stuff.
  20. Thanks Tim I just tried them and they can only offer the classic policies on cars 15 years and older :(
  21. LMAO own up, how many of you tried to drag the scroll bar down to see the bottom of the page? :D
  22. That pickup is about the fastest thing I've ever seen! It made the F1 cars look slow up that hill :o Absolutely awesome and your mates could sit in the back LOL :D
  23. I've been calling round for insurance and trying to get some cover for all the cash I've spent on my Z without much luck :( The best price I've had is on a classic policy with Heritage/Norton Insurance limited to 3000 miles a year for £347 It's a low limit but I doubt I do much more than that averaged over the last 4 years breakdowns! They offer an agreed value for the car and asked me what it's worth. I think to replace the car as it is would cost me about £14K. They said but it's only worth £3K so no chance and that would be subject to a valuation by the Z Club LOL! How is that an agreed valuation for a classic car? If i'm prepared to pay to insure it for it's value to me then why can't they do it? I asked why they can insure my £14K Pug 206 for £400 then? If I'd restored an old Aston Martin (which they advertise as covering the owners club) and spent £20K on it would they still say "but you can buy an old rusty one for a few hundred quid"?? I don't know whether to go for it as I suppose all the other insurers would still only give me book price for it anyway. Has anyone found cover for all their time and hard earned cash on these cars? I just can't bear the thought of trashing it and being handed a cheque for £3K! I suppose a lot of the stuff could be transferred to another Z if I crashed it but what if it got burnt out (which with my ex is VERY likely at the moment :( ) Chris.
  24. So it must make dark pink paint look silver then? :D
