  1. Sounds like the Windows Messenger system being used to send Spam. I presume you don't have a Firewall installed? You can get Zone Alarm free here: http://download.com.com/3000-2092-10217783.html?tag=lst-0-4
  2. So what happened to the all the work you were going to get done on the Z? Wild kit, respray & mods? Surely if you were going to spend all that money it was worth fixing the gearbox instead of buying an ugly frog-mobeeel?!?! LOL
  3. I see it's got the lurvely Axis Se7en wheels, Yum! I want those one day. Those doors are just plain stupid on that car and it looks like the bottom edge of the door blocks your legs getting in! I bet it's a nightmare if you park it in a garage!
  4. That looks like it might develop into a great site mate. but... you spelt my name as ChricC on one of the screens! LOL Chris.
  5. Being slightly sensible... Buy a nice Z, mod it to around 450bhp with a nice bodykit and it will stay reasonably reliable and useable. Save the £18K thats left over and you still have a stunning car. IMHO if you spent 30K on a Z you would need another 10K every year to keep it on the road!
  6. Z Centre do an upgrade kit and it shows some pics: http://www.zcentre.co.uk/performance/perf2/oil_cool.htm
  7. LMFAO :D At least the world is now safe from Mac attacks LOL
  8. Well here's some of the original pics I found just to confuse matters! I think they all came from http://www.twinturbo.de originally. I'd consider changing mine to one of these, very nice indeed! but... they are definately Photoshopped. Just look closely at the indicators and intercoolers that are just 2D images stuck on top! Chris.
  9. Yeah there's a couple of new ranges come out that are 50% extra bright for the same wattage. I have 35% brighter in mine and they do make a big difference. If you just put 100W bulbs in they overheat and you'll be lucky to get a weeks use out of them - I've tried! The wiring seems OK but they just get too hot in the housing and the filament burns out. Chris.
  10. I don't get which pipes you need to cap as they are all joined up when you connect it as above... ?!?! I think you've taken too many pipes off
  11. Are you definately using the manual mode and not auto? I think when I fitted mine I was getting something similar. They default to auto mode and you input the boost in psi. You need to set it to manual with gain and ratio values for a twin turbo. Does sound like you have it right of you are reaching 100%. Make sure you turn it down to about 30 before trying it if you do find another fault! Other than that I'd check you've plumbed it in right like this: http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/tech/blitz/blitz.htm Chris.
  12. I doubt it, the R34 is 4x4 so will be completely different.
  13. 1. Calibration Error - I installed my power meter and got this problem but I never fixed it before the car went off the road. I think the wire needs to be connected at the back of the speedo instead of near the ECU but I might be wrong. 2. You don't need to take the pipes off, just unplug the wiring connector to each solenoid which is at the side of the engine. I presume you got a diagram from somewhere on how to "T" the controller solenoid into the system correctly? 3. In theory the pipes should be as close to the same length as possible but this isn't really possible. Just join them as short at each side as you can get them. 4. The controller needs to be set to manual mode as auto learn doesn't work on twin turbos. Then set the gain about 10 and the boost value about 25 and increase it from there to see how high you are boosting. Every car is slightly different but I had mine up to about 50 as it's maximum setting I think. My car has been off the road ages so I doubt my settings are still stored but these are about right I think. Chris.

Mark has done quite a lot of work on my Z at PPS so I might have seen you up there last year myself.
  15. This should help you mate: http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/br/012.gif The interactive manual under FAQ's at the top of the forum is very handy! If you are getting brake judder after you've changed the pads I'd look at changing the front tension rod bushes to poly ones as has been mentioned. I replaced a set of disks a couple of years ago and it made no difference. Cost a fortune too. Poly bushes are only about £45 and will tighten up the steering as a bonus so I'd get them done first mate. You can get them from Z Centre: http://www.zcentre.co.uk/
  16. No I stay well away from that place! LOL
  17. Jeeez how did you do that?!?! Thats like doing 230mph on the motorway LOL I think Chazz will get off a lot lighter!
  18. We'll convert you from the dark side! LOL There's more pics on my "under construction" site here: http://300zx.servebeer.com/ It's a bit slow but it's running from my broadband at home ;) Cheers Paul for standing up for the silver one instead of that common red one that everyone goes on about ;) LOL
  19. I REALLY liked those wheels and was thinking of changing to them... mayyyyybe not! LOL
  20. Well it's definately the same knob! Oooer
  21. As has been said, this is one of the best driving/performance mods you can buy! It's probably the thing that has had the biggest effect on my speed out of anything I've done to the car. In summer it just means you can floor it round bends where you would be backing off in case it slid, in the wet of winter you can still drive fast where before I'd take another car. I used to dread the rain coming but with variable TC I look forward to it now! Set to 15 or 20% slip and fly out of a junction getting sideways as far as you dare keep your floot on the accelerator with no need to worry about it all going too far. Only thing is when you start doing it all the time like I do, sooner or later the cops will spot you at it! LOL I havent tried my launch control yet as it doesn't work very well on an auto but once my manual box is in I'll let you know! Buy it or regret it!
  22. I use this bit of software that converts just about everything: http://www.joshmadison.com/software/convert/ Very handy program.
  23. I may as well have one mate! Chris.
  24. I've not been beaten by anything, even a 911 Turbo didn't get away from me in a side by side race from 30mph! I've not had a bike get away from me either, I know they are faster on paper but I don't think there's many riders will push them to the limit on the road.
