  1. Yes but the overall design of the engine/pistons limits the kind of power it can safely handle due to the amount of heat produced etc. Yes you can put bigger turbos on but it will really need forged pistons, different plugs, bigger intercoolers, bigger radiator, different ECU etc etc and by then you have a very different engine to the one you started with. The Z has relatively small turbos (it's like having 2x 1.5L turbo engines bolted together) so they spool up faster than a large single turbo so you get a more responsive car with less lag.
  2. I think he did well in F1 - He pulled Dannii Minogue :D

  8. I'm saying nothing
  9. I don't think it should be allowed, think of the ladies on this forum
  10. I think I heard MJP can supply body parts cheap.
  11. Well I suppose you are right about the suspension changing with all the extra width but I was stunned at the difference it made to the handling on my Z. It must be over a foot wider at the back with half as much rubber again on the road so it corners like its on rails with not a bit of body roll. People have said it will put more strain on wheel bearings etc but if you like the look and you've spent all this cash having it done, does it really matter if you have to swap a bearing earlier than normal?! As you can see they are sturdy pieces of kit made from a light alloy: Not cheap though at around £250 although some people I know have paid £500+ for them. Chris.
  12. Lands End or John O'Groats?
  13. The ones on mine are about 2.5 inches the same as Macca's. They are bolt on hubs not just a standard spacers - you couldn't get bolts long enough and it would be dangerous. The way to find the spacer size is to get the widest wheels in the biggest offset possible and fit them on the car with the wide arches in place. You then measure from the edge of the wheel to the arch to find the spacer thickness. Unless you go for the same wheels as somebody else you will have to get your spacers made up towards the end of the bodywork being done. Chris.

Does that DVD come in downloadable format? ;)
  18. Why did you decide to dismantle your Z at a bus stop?! ;) LOL
  19. Remind me never to let you near my Paul Bailey wing! LOL
  20. Get the wheels mate then when your box dies do a conversion! You won't get anything for an ageing auto box so it's a waste IMHO
  21. Turning Zone Alarm up will probably sort it but as Mr Beermonster says you can turn off the messenger service in XP/Win2K/NT
  22. Just don't see the point of it myself. 90 seconds power for £50 ish... Overtake 2 cars, 2 races from the lights and it's gone. Then wait until the weekend to drive somewhere to fill it up - if you can afford it on top of the fuel! LOL I only know 2 people who have NOS and after a couple of months they stopped using it. 300bhp in the Z is nothing, get it over 450bhp and it starts to be much more fun! For £500 on the Z you could get a good boost controller and ECU upgrade giving 70bhp ish
  23. All I can say is... Why spend it on a mondeo when you could get way more permanent power on the Z for the cash?! Paying all that money for the system then £50 each time for a minute of acceleration that won't be as good as the Z anyway and will probably just spin the wheels all over the place. Or is your Z already modded to the max and you can't spend your cash fast enough?! LOL
  24. Just stick with it mate, you have no patience! I spent £8K on mods and bodykit and was without the car for the best part of a year while it was being done. Got the car back and 3 weeks later the auto box died, followed 2 weeks later by the engine! Almost another year later, another £5K spent and it's still sat on my drive waiting for parts but it looks the dogs danglies! LOL I'm looking forward to next year and only my second summer on the road in the Z in 4 years! Am I insane? Wibble... :D
