  1. Thanks John, I might just do that as there's not really anyone near me with a Z.
  2. Well I think these are SE's T28 hybrids but I'm not certain how they were put together. Looks like i've even more work to look forward to
  3. They are just a bottom section not a complete bumper.
  4. So what about my T28's?! lol
  5. You might be getting water splashing the air meter causing it to give incorrect readings. Make sure the splash guard is protecting the filter from rain/spray.
  6. I think you can just use a couple of large bolts and a bit of tape to close them off. I didn't do mine myself so I'm not totally sure on this. There's more spec than that but the length of sig text is limited now! :( I wish it was 200bhp... been off the road ages now but should be sorted in the next month or 2.
  7. Which turbo's does this apply to? Will I have this problem with my tiny T28's? LOL
  8. I think there's a couple of pipes that go to the cat that need plugging and a wire for the temperature warning sensor that needs tucking away somewhere safe.
  9. I'm thinking of fitting the transmission/diff oil pump from a UK car to my new manual box using my old engine oil cooler. I've been told cooling isn't really needed but as I drive like a nutter and have had a new gearbox on every car I've ever owned, I think it's probably a good idea! Does anyone know if it can be connected to cool my import diff too? The Jap spec doesn't normaly have a cooler but I wondered if the mounting holes were there? Does anyone know where the thermostat is that turns the pump on? I'm not too bothered as it's mainly the gearbox I'm wanting to protect but I may as well mount it in the original location on the diff if it will.
  10. So how much boost are you running? What exactly is it doing wrong? When they say it's running lean do they mean it's detonating? If so you need more fuel not air.
  11. Why would it run lean if it's not getting enough air?!?! Too much air and not enough fuel maybe. Are you running too much boost?
  12. What have you had done to the engine? Turbo's? Injectors? Chipped ECU? PTU wiring comes from the right of the engine bay so it's common to relocate it above the fusebox area or further back on that side. Don't ask Macca, he doesn't know anything about Z's :D
  13. I was wondering what a camblet was...
  14. I heard he's still busy finishing Smithy's crate :duffer: who knows... maybe he'll come to the rescue  :D

Very helpful so far! lol I think the 2 pre-cats were in the downpipes to improve emissions for the U.S in later cars. The main cats are just before the H pipe in the exhaust.

Yes if it comes with a fitting kit for the Z. If not you can replace the 2 pipes to the throttle bodies with solid pipes (as supplied by Smithy) and plumb them into there. You still need to plug the old recirc holes though. by the way... Blow Off Valves = Noisy Recirculating Valves = Silent (as fitted as standard on Z's)
  17. LMAO  :hyper:
  18. Is there anyone near Leeds who can give me a hand with the following: Plenum removal / refit 555 Injector installation Mounting / checking T28 turbos General water bypass stuff EGR system removal I can manage most of this myself and have all the parts ready but I really want to make sure it's all done right before I put the engine back in and having someone on hand who's done it before would give me a lot more confidence. Tea/beer etc supplied FOC :duffer: Possible free spares from a wide selection of upgrades! :hyper: Cash if needed! :mac1: Got to get this beast finished for Billing! Chris.
  19. I'd say it's some sort of dual pop induction kit but doesn't look like it's for a Z to me...
  20. Trust is Greddy and you can see the kit here: http://www.greddy.com/products/products.asp?catidx=12&catname=Aero%20Parts&prodtype=55&prodtypename=GRACER-Aero%20Kits The Greddy front is nearly $700 + shipping but you can buy a copy called the Scarab from Z Centre for £290+VAT http://www.zcentre.co.uk Z Centre have lots of others too... I've got the Scarab front on my Z.
  21. I agree, just buy a new one and get further into debt like the rest of us.
  22. That's not just a wing that's been fitted there. The stock spoiler has been removed and a boot skin of some sort has been fitted to fill the huge holes that are left behind. If you sell the spoiler you won't be able to just stick a stock one back on without major work to the boot...

You need 2. They would replace the stock recirculating valves that do a better job anyway... LOL
  24. Yes e-manage can cope with that.
  25. I've got one of these rads on the way. Do they not come with a plug and rad cap? Will I have to use the stock plug and will my Blitz cap fit? I was hoping to sell the old rad complete...
