You might not have oil in the water or vice versa but if there's exhaust getting in it can cause probs. Not sure how this happens but I was told it does sometimes.

Hi matey, Wasn't this my old rad that you bought? I can't even remember who I posted it to now. Like you said it was almost new and had only done a couple of hundred miles. I only replaced it to fit one of those uprated Howe rads as I was needing extra cooling. I think I posted the rad to you in the Howe box LOL I got mine from Z1 along with a load of other bits and they are certainly good quality. Give them a call - they know a few of us from this site and are very helpfull. The only problem is there may be something else wrong thats causing the rad to pop :confused: I'd do a test for head gasket failure as it might be exhaust gas getting into the water and pressurising the system :( I think you can get a test kit to do this? Chris.
