What makes you think it's the belt? Can't imagine it would make a noise... The tensioner can go a bit rusty but it's a very strong spring so I wouldn't have thought it would jam unless it's almost fully extended anyway. If it is the tensioner then i wouldn't be driving it as a slipped belt could be VERY expensive. To change it you need the radiator out, all belts off, radiator hard pipes on front of engine off, cam covers off. Might as well change the belt while your at it for another £30.

Yes it was my mates boat I took him to have a look at but then decided I'd have it when he changed his mind. Mac said he couldn't buy it as his arse wouldn't fit in the seat :x:
