prop shaft problem?
There's 4 positions so you might be lucky on the first go but it's going to be a pain in the ass to do lol Could be a worn diff or something. Is it a mechanical noise or could it be a noisy fuel pump?

I never managed to look at the speedo LOL but can't have been much over 90mph most of the way as it's pretty twisty. There's a couple of long straights where if you know they're coming you might get to 130 ish I reckon. The final long straight up to the finish line was maybe 150 ish but not sure - it was all a blur!

My cars got the shakes!!!
The plugs are bolted down under the coil packs ;) You'll see them held down by 2 bolts each between the big silver intake manifold on top of the engine. Undo the 2 bolts and pull out the coil, plugs are quite far down so you'll need an extension. It's quite common for the coil connectors to come loose so try pushing them in first.

LOL no you'll have to ask Kirbz in his Golf diesel  He wasn't far behind us all the way there, round the track and home! There's nothing can prepare you for the speed of the track, the tightness of some of the bends and the hills with blind crests where your brain is telling you to brake but you know you should be trying harder. Driving onto the track my heart was pounding thinking I might be about to die LOL Coming off at the end I felt like I'd been on the worlds scariest rollercoaster x10 :D Has to be the ultimate buzz!

You can go round in the ring taxi M5 or there's a monster stripped out Dodge Viper that's got some silly power if you've got a bit of cash to burn and a strong stomach

Unfortunately not as we were having to share the camcorder and it was already out in someone elses car and getting close to the end of the track time so we had to go out without it :( Never knew how high the limits of my car were until then, this guy was taking the correct racing line through every bend, mounting the run off kerbs on every apex LOL Flat out over blind crests where I was sure there were bends coming up  We undertook a car through the carousel and overtook a bike on the way out of it  Overtook every car and bike going round and he said he was taking it easy as it wasn't his car LOL Best bit was when he said he was having trouble with his shoes heel and toe-ing so he took em off and did most of the lap bare foot LOL Brakes were on fire when we pulled up at the end. Some memorable comments: Half way round with me pinned into the seat: Len: "This is a fast car" Len: "Are you OK" Me: "Terrified" Len: "Why didn't you say?" Me: "I'm letting you concentrate" and after getting my breath back: "There's no point getting a racing driver to take you out then asking him to slow down is there?" Was truly awesome to see a proper driver make me look absolutley pants! Went there thinking my driving skills were something like 8/10 but came back knowing I'm not even a 2/10

There's a list of mods a mile long on my spec sheet in the rides section: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=28 Brakes are the skyline R33 GTR setup but they were gone after about 4 corners! LOL Never ever faded on me on the road  As Chris said, it wasn't me driving though. We met a 70 year old ex world champion driver from Oz and I was mad enough to let him take me round for a lap. Never been so scared in my life and i'm not usually a bad passenger  Takes a lot to get a wide arch Z with monster tyres sliding but he did on every corner without brakes

floppy gear lever
Almost certainly the bushes on the lever - very common. You can't really see them on the car but if you take the centre trim out round the stick and remove the panel under there you can remove the stick and check them. Parts only a couple of quid too :) Or get a short shifter kit from Z Centre ;)

Driving my Z to south of France and need advice
You can always get AA International cover for your trip if you're worried :) I got the Nurburgring/Germany trip covered for £55 for the week. You don't have to be an AA member but I did get a discount. Get a quote online: http://www.theaa.com/services/european_breakdowncover/index.jsp Probably cost you about £80 or you can get a years cover for about £115 I think. I'm glad I got it too

Pics of my Car and also a 2 second vid
Looks awesome mate :) I saw it in it's previous state and I didn't think they'd be able to make much of it :headvswal Mine is starting to look very dull compared with some of the recent cars that have been done but I'm sure you'll have the same grin on your face driving it that I did - enjoy!

Quick Question
The ones I got were just a straight swap. Years since I bought em though so no idea where from :wack:

Footballer's car's
I doubt it's anything to do with him really, yes he's very talented at kicking a piece of leather about  but once he got discovered and picked up by a good P.R manager the sky's the limit I'm sure he just goes along with the biggest deals on offer. Lucky git

Good to see you all again :) Well done Steve, shame I couldn't hang around to see you win but my daughter wasn't feeling well and it was far too hot for us. Wasn't fun driving back burning my hand on a red hot solid metal gear knob, took about 20 minutes of aircon before I could touch it  One question, Where did they find that muppet doing the commentary over the tannoy? "Do you take it to Tesco's?" "This modified category is for you if you've got go-faster stripes or perhaps fitted side skirts or something" "I like the blue pipes and the chrome bits, did you do that or is it standard?" "The pride of ownership category is for you if you've maybe had the car 20 or 30 years and it's your pride and joy. You don't have to have spent £100,000 on your car but if you have it's OK" :xxx:

water leak help wanted
as above but could also be a failing water pump. They're replaced at the 60K service usually.
