  1. hey everyone anyone know what front bumper this is, looks a bit like a 99 spec..but something is different ::confused: http://cgi.ebay.de/Klarglas-Blinker-Standlicht-fuer-Nissan-300ZX-Z32-NEU_W0QQitemZ330223899111QQihZ014QQcategoryZ72714QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem anyone got any ideas ? cheers Maz :)
  2. really?..mine is right above the oil filter. Perhaps it´s a lefthand drive / righthand drive thing  Sorry Dean :(
  3. Andy, I wouldn´t know which "vent"you are refering to mate. Do you mean the breather pipe running from the tank to the neck of the petrol cap ?..are there more "vents" to allow pressure release from the tank or am I totally on the wrong track ? as for running without a fuel cap or using a cheap /not so tight one, haven´t tried that yet, will give it a go though if all else fails cheers :)
  4. I know that the fuel tank is usually under pressure and that when you remove the petrol cap you can hear some air being sucked in, but since the weekend I seem to have a problem with excessive pressure in the fuel tank to the point that the fuel pump starts to act up causing the car to stutter and making it almost impossible to drive. If you then open the fuel cap you can hear a serious amount of air being sucked in and the car runs perfectly after that until the "excess" pressure builds up again after about 150-200 kms. anyone got any ideas what could be causing this ?
  5. oil pressure switch is right next to the oil filter...sticking out sideways just above the filter :)
  6. part number not sure, but i recall the only place I was able to source the hand brake pads was from Nissan themselves.
  7. sounds like exactly the same prob I had...i changed the fuel pump and still had the same thing " feels like Petrol stops pumping for a second so 0 power then the power is back again! Only happens when im going at a constant!" I then took both water temp sensors out, gave them a good clean, made better connections and hey presto, problem has dissapeared. :)
  8. as Joel said, fit a hub with cruise control...works a treat :)
  9. have a look here, might be of some help http://www.ttzd.com/ Under : Auto Climate Control Diagnostics: :)
  10. ah..okay, cruise control is working fine so I guess it´s supposed to rattle and sound broken. much appreciated, cheers for that guys :)
  11. crotchrocket.....see the left plenium...there´s a cable going over it ( just above the twin turbo badge)into that upright on it´s side standing roundish square thing...that´s it no idea Dave,,that´s something i haven´t used in a long while but i´ll give it a go have to scoot off back to work now so i can give it a try.
  12. yep..works perfectly mate .
  13. lol I didn´t think i had explained it very well ....the "box" isn´t exactly square either..looks like a mixture of a square and a circle ..on it´s side with a pipe or what looks like a clutch cable off a motorbike ( looking) coming from the centre of it leading over the left handside of the engine and dissapearing under the throttle cover ( thing with 300zx on it ) is that any better ? just trying to figure out if it´s supposed to rattle like it´s broken. cheers :)
  14. how to explain this now: looking into the engine bay from the front, on the left hand side , mounted on the inside arch is a small black plastic box looking thing with a hose running from it: A: What is it ? B: is it supposed to rattle and sound like there's a loose spring in it when you tap on it lightly ? :)
  15. "so i can afford the fuel " ...it´s alright for some ey :) let me know when you´re back on base though ...how come you´re back in the UK for so long anyway ?
  16. but driving a manual is really driving...not like bumper cars ..you actually have to do something, and that´s half the fun !! I´ll get my coat before all the other auto drivers show up >>>>
  17. hey!! I'm doing alright mate...it's the others How´s you ? feeling alot better i bet since you had your Z sorted. You should pop over for a brew when your back mate. btw..saw a black Z on camp with UK plates a few weeks back and alledgedly there´s also another grey one on camp too that I haven´t seen...they seem to be multiplying. anyone you know ? :)
  18. Jonce I´m in JHQ ..and drive the 10 kms to Elmpt daily ......didn´t we meet and talk outside the QMs a few months ago and exchanged phone numbers ( which i lost when my phone broke) or was that another Z driver from Elmpt ? Maz
