  1. Is there any tell tale signs of the oil pump on its way out? Oil pressure is strong with no signs of loosing pressure and no knocking. I'm hoping it's not the pump.
  2. Hi does anyone know if the oil pump can be fitted without taking the engine out? Can it be changed by removing the sump leaving the engine in position? Thanks Dan
  3. I have the exact same noise and can't find the problem
  4. We followed everything by the workshop manual and the tensioner was within the tolerances when we fitted it. I'm thinking a possible air leak around the poor fitting z1 throttle bodies after watching a few more videos on YouTube. The throttle bodies are very poor quality I've had nothing but trouble with them.
  5. Hi Jeff yes its a genuine belt we changed it twice now :(
  6. I've seen this one as well but that sounds more like a bearing noise. It has a metallic rattle sound
  7. Watch "300zx timing belt noise" on YouTube 300zx timing belt noise: http://youtu.be/LeeDj41ISbw Hi all, Can anyone help with this strange noise we are getting from the engine? We have changed the Cam gears, Cambelt, all cambelt pulleys, Cambelt tensioner and CAS unit. We also have run the car with no auxiliary belts. It does get better when the engine warms up but never clears. Wondering if it is the Oil pump but oil pressure is good. Thanks Dan
  8. Funny enough I'd had already been on that site. Was it expensive?
  9. I've bought 4 points now thanks anyway. Where can i buy a half cage in the UK. Rhd Japan sell them but don't want the extra cost of import tax and shipping. Cheers Dan
  10. Hi has anyone fitted 4 point harnesses at all? I have 3 point installed at the moment but to install a 4 point it looks like I need to install or have made an harness bar? You can buy a universal kit for this but I wondering what anyone else did? Cheers Dan
  11. Isn't there a clutch supplier on the forum now?
  12. That's been on ebay before. I can't see it ever selling
  13. Wow that's the daddy of slush machines. Mine is similar to this single barrel but on a smaller scale. It's does need tiding up a bit and I'm debating where to put it.
  14. I will post some up soon it's boxed up out the way while I'm sorting the room out
  15. Thanks for the tip SteveE. I have since the pics installed two cat 5 cables and a hi definition coax that my friend gave me to install. I've not yet installed another Hdmi cable but it is definitely worth thinking about to future proof the system. Bird I payed £150 secondhand off eBay it's a single barrel type compared to most you see that are twin. It doesn't have a bottle holder at the front either :( buts it's definitely worth buying one.
  16. Some real nice set ups there. It can turn in to mega money! A friend of mine installs and sets up multimedia and cinema systems for a living. He has pictures of his work that are unreal but so is the price tag of 40k plus. I'm trying to stick to a budget that's already been raised twice lol. I've done plenty of research on the equipment I've bought and now building the room to the best spec I can to get the best out of the equipment. Bird..slush puppies are the way forward lol. I originally bought 12 different flavours and now have about 20 with a bit of experimenting :)
  17. Funny you say that i bought an pop corn machine and slush puppy machine to go in the room lol
  18. I think in real life those sofa won't fit lol. They are huge.
  19. Building a box office will be next lol.
  20. Electrics is complete...added extra sockets spot lights and fused spurs in the ceiling to power the projector and screen. Finished chasing the walls last night for the surround sound cables. Been measuring everything out over and over again to ensure best results for the speakers and projector. I have been geeking it off on the AVforums. Believe it or not there is so much involved it getting it all right to achieve the best out of the equipment. Plastering is next...I have a guy coming this evening for a quote. I've gone a bit mad with lighting etc and a feature wall. I've ordered The Avengers mural which i think will look cool with the lighting etc. sneak preview of the mural..The room is just over 4 metres long with the acoustic matting on the walls around the screen this mural will cover the remaining wall. I went for Lay z boy electric cinema seats true V.I.P treatment :) Can't wait to get it finished.
  21. Yea no problem I will do. Trying to work out the cable runs as we speak.
  22. I went for the Optoma Hd25e true HD and 3D projector
  23. Well after much research I've bought everything needed to convert my spare room in to a cinema. I think ive got the best availble for the money if reviews and recommendations are anything to go by! I bought most of the gear except the cinema seats from Richer sounds and i found them very helpful. I've already stripped the room back to bare bones so I've now got to start the grafting measuring everything to exact specifications while trying to cram everything in to the limited space I have. I've got enough cables to run around the world and back so most of the weekend I'm going to be chasing the walls out. I can't wait until it's finished.
