Multimeter questions
Any reasonable multimeter should be able to measure 12-14ohms. If you're looking at something like this: (grabbed off amazon) It is signifying to use 200 for anything small. Then for larger resistances you go to the higher settings.

Yes it works. I think I recognise it actually, looks like it cleaned up nice. I have a big wing also and its a pain to get a cover to fit, without the wing they fit nicely. Photobucket can't embed images anymore -_-

They should fit the rim alright, providing they dont rub. Here are pics from an old thread of 265 on 8.5j Sure it's oversized over the metal rim, but fits well and provides a slight bit more grip.

Sorry these are late, there were hundreds of pigeons on the abbey I had to get rid of  Thanks Ash for the drive. It was an experience to say the least!

I don't know what width the wheels are, but looking at them in the pictures it looks like you could oversize them slightly.

Will be there in a min. Jason is running slightly late as he has to go to junction 6 and turn around to get to clacket lane eastbound. We should expect him around 2:30

Ah I did forget about that bit. I don't know about the views since they don't have streetview anywhere near the cafe. Battle abbey it looks like we could sneakily park and take a picture on the circle road, but we'll have to be swift.

Not to be Devils Advocate, but Bodium Castle you cannot get cars close to, and its pay to entry. Bewls water I could only see one road that has a view on the lake (south east side) so lets hope it doesn't have any parked cars in the way. Sounds like bewl water and battle abbey could be a start. Now we just need to decide the end point. Here is the route so far: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Clacket+Lane+Motorway+Service+Area,+Tatsfield,+Westerham+TN16+2ER/''/Battle+Abbey,+High+Street,+Butter+Cross,+Battle/Hastings/@51.0446894,0.2557425,10.75z/data=!4m24!4m23!1m5!1m1!1s0x47df55d1d6dfce3f:0x7a8a99d791cd211f!2m2!1d0.0381743!2d51.2735042!1m3!2m2!1d0.4248887!2d51.0620485!1m5!1m1!1s0x47df1138efd7b735:0xc638921f8ae58265!2m2!1d0.4861284!2d50.9151203!1m5!1m1!1s0x47df107433235113:0x6d17a64660baced7!2m2!1d0.573453!2d50.854259!3e0 I will meet you at Clacket Lane don't worry.

2pm Is good, Jason says ETA 2-2:15 so if we plan to leave at 2:15-2:30 that should work well? Thanks Ash I'll take you up on that if you have a spare seat. We have Jason coming from facebook.

To me it looks like a piece of the block. I haven't been around long enough to know if you've sent any rods into heaven.

Radiator open or closed system?
You probably don't want that. As the radiator cap opens to let off pressure, when it cools down, as it was vented to atmosphere you will simply be losing coolant.
