  1. Hi, please can anyone clarify what front/rear tyre pressure I should be running on 255/40/17 please? 1998 LWB TT :-) Thanks
  2. Thanks man, Garry really does know what to bring in mate, all his cars, and I've personally have seen three of them, are super clean. Yep, the interior does have a purple hue :-) Cheers
  3. I worked in the music industry for some time in the late 80's, specifically the rock music scene. I met Lemmy, a nicer bloke you couldn't wish to meet, jovial, intelligent, no messing, decent geezer. He (Motörhead) really did make a difference to whole genre of "speed" metal and head banging in general, his early stuff with Hawkwind was cool too. Read his book, it's really good, the chap was a legend and a damm fine drinking buddy when he was on one. RIP mate, thanks for the riffs, cheers!
  4. Watching my brothers restoration of this 240z was the start. A lovely car so much work, but she looked awesome when she was done. I wanted another Z and he pointed me to the Z32, thanks bro :)
  5. Sorry ! it's Benington, not Beddington ,
  6. Went to a classic car meet at Benington and met a fellow Zed club member, Jason, with his first car :-) Nice one mate! We are everywhere :-)
  7. Shuttleworth for a spin out in Purple Haze :-)
  8. Nah, I hear they ache LOL. These were on the car mate, I may change them in the future but for now they are good enough
  9. Good Luck Ian, I know exactly what you mean mate. I am sure the surgery will be successful and you will be pain free and back on track in no time. I spent the summer in and out of hospital this year with my leg/cancer treatment, its all good now. Its AMAZING what the docs can do and trust me, after enduring the shit you have, you will notice a terrific change, just in time for Xmas buddy! Stay calm, let them do their thing and keep the faith! Cheers mate ;-)
  10. Purple Haze was brought to be driven...as much as possible. I don't have a garage but I do have a cover... I had her rustproofed by LA Autos as soon as she came in and will have her wax oiled by Lee in the spring when its a tad warmer/drier. For now though, I drive her at least once a week and I guess the only time I won't is when its snowing or salt down or blowing a real hoolie. I took her out last week and she got dirty, real dirty...wanna see some pics....I know you do.... But what fun, taking her out on the local Cambridge/Bedfordshire B roads was a joy! I cleaned her up and went for a swift one.... then back home and snuggled up in her winter duvet..... Its great being able to just whip the cover off, jump in and enjoy the ride.... I would love a garage and hopefully I can convert mine back to a workshop/garage in time, however the Oracle has shut that particular avenue of pleasure firmly, and taken it over with washing machines, driers, Ironing boards and the such, mind you, I do have my little stack of stocked Minibars chillin away in there so its not all bad ;-)
  11. Welcome to the club Simon, a fellow Gazwoz client! The convertible you have is an ace car, well done mate. I have just been for a spin in my Zed I recently brought off Garry, love it !
  12. Good Luck mate, I do hope you get the claim paid up soonest, keep at em buddy!
  13. Cool, I'm up for it. Will book stand pass and camping on 23rd. My first car show, really looking forward to meeting you all. :-) I guess I just turn up on the Saturday, park up Purple Haze with all the other zed 32's and find a place to pitch me tent, find the beer tent and chill out, correct? Is there anything happening on the evening of the 23rd?
  14. It is a stunning car, if I had the extra pennies when I brought Purple Haze from Garry, I would have taken the convertible, it looked amazing, inside and out. Someone has a truly great Zed with that one.
  15. :-) Donald Campbell's Bluebird !
  16. Wow, never really thought about the investment angle. I know my financial limits for what is essentially a fun weekend motor and brought my first Zed 32 recently, well, cos I like it. It's stock other than the alloys and sounds. Its great fun, plenty of poke for me, looks stunning as it is, and so far with 80k on the clock, reliable and in good nick. From the off, I wanted to keep it as it rolled off the ferry;however, I sure as hell am gonna do the 2000 miles a year my insurance covers driving every chance I get in her. Sod the investment. These are amazing, fun motors and whether you mod it's potential or just enjoy the ride man, either way your gonna have fun. I am. :-) mind you, a week with Lee Dent and I'm blinging the lump already :-)
  17. Thanks Man, took her fir a real good drive yesterday round the country lanes and she was filthy, gave her a good clean and put her away in her blanket till the sun comes out again. My first real day driving her for pure pleasure and it made my birthday buddy, God I love my Zed :-)
  18. Belated Birthday greetings fellow Sagittarius, Cheers!
  19. Really good to hear the news mate, hope the deal gets done. Gazwoz is good guy and his cars are great.
  20. Picked up Purple Haze after a week or two with Lee Dent and Sam at LA Autos. Major Service, WaxStone Chip underneath and Cambelt. However, as usual, Lee did a ton of other stuff and threw in some bling! I cannot rate Lee,s work high enough, as a newbie I am so impressed with his knowledge, passion and love for the 300zx. Great that this forum recommend Lee, I'm really pleased with L.A. Autos and have enjoyed the drive back today with confidence in my car and a smile on my face, cheers Lee :-)
  21. I think colour is a personal choice, the gold originally suggested looks great. The cars we drive are an expression of ourselves and thank goodness we are all different. Go with the gold man, it's cool. :-)
