  1. Was back down the workshop today - doing more prep work & fitting the 99 spec spoiler :punk:
  2. I know each to their own & all that but why would you want the cam belt & pullies visible & open to the elements?! one small stone flicking up & its goodbye engine (& yes, I have seen this happen!! )
  3. Jeez: "2000 Horsepower and 300 mph This is the website for the Dagger GT, the world’s fastest, 2000 horsepower, 300 mph, mid-engine Supercar. The ‘Super’ in ‘Supercar’ will soon have a new meaning. Our aerodynamicist (consultant to NASA) has calculated that our 300 mph goal is achievable based on preliminary horsepower, frontal area, coefficient of drag and drag-area computations. We will add the hardtop and add ballast to run at this speed at Bonneville. Two experienced 300 mph Bonneville record-holder racers have also suggested that we should be able to reach our 300 mph goal. " :w00t: & LOL!!: "WARNING: Material on this website may not be suitable for viewing by environmentally-sensitive, energy-conscious, or non-competitive type personalities."
  4. unlikely the 2 are related - code 34 means the det sensor circuit is faulty, not that it is actually detecting det. You could try MJP (mike) a trader on here for sensors :)
  5. :hyper::hyper::hyper:
  6. Just a quicky! My mates just sent me a text - car is now in first stage of primer :thumbup1:
  7. Thanks Stu - all appears to be coming together nicely at the mo! Will keep posting pics as I go. They have been busy prepping today again & will hopefully be finished in primer by the end of the week. Windscreen came out today.
  8. The wheels on the car at the moment are coming off - I have a set of 19" Jade R's going on which will be redone in sparkle silver :cool3:
  9. All suspension bush bolts should be tightened with the wheel in the driving position & not hanging or when the vehicle is back on the ground the bushes will twist causing premature wear, adverse handling & possibly invoke the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse!! If safe to do so jack up under the hub to raise the wheel to the driving position before tightening the bolts.
  10. Nah - I just prefer the easy route!! :tongue_smilie:
  11. They also have dabs of bonder holding it to the tailgate - I used a long blade from a windscreen removal kit to help slice through it. I would imagine just pulling would need some force!!
  12. I think a pic of all your trophy's is in order! Have you modified them with additional bling?!
  13. I only took mine off yesterday - didnt pay much attention but thought there was more than 4 nuts? You sure you have found all of them?! The nuts are all that holds it on but if its been off before someone may have run some sealant around it
  14. See if the captive bolts in the rear panel have started to pull out - they are pressed & moulded in to the panel - if so try gently tapping them back so they are flush with some 2 pack glue like araldite to hold them in
  15. Any ideas what a true valuation for my car would be once it is finished for insurance purposes to try to get an agreed value? Have many people got agreed values on here? For those that dont know its a series 2 '93 UK manual TT Having it fully restored & resprayed. Any thoughts?
  16. Code 34 does NOT mean the car is detting - it means the det sensor circuit is faulty so the ECU puts it into safety boost just in case it dets & it would not be able to detect it. There are pros & cons to the det sensor being bypassed. If you have chipped the ECU & are running a boost controller then the det sensor is pointless anyway! It also only detects det up to a certain rpm so if you are flat out & it is detting then it will not do anything either. If you are at all worried about det then you are far better off fitting a knock link with a visual display inside the car IMO.
  17. LOL! Trouble is without the chicken wire you can see all the chicken guts behind the bumper!! I did speak to my mate about the stonechip along the bottom edge - undecided ATM as he said it is there to serve a purpose. Would rather have it fully protected TBH. I know many cars dont have it now days but with galvanised panels & better sealing etc its not such an issue on a modern car. I do prefer the look without it but not sure if I want to sacrifice longevity!
  18. Some more pictures from today! Went over to the bodyshop to strip all the trims etc off. Dents etc starting to get filled :)
  19. What - on the car or finally getting the pics up?! LOL!
  20. LOL! ah, ok! :o
  21. Really? I can see them fine?!
  22. All Metal work is complete! A few pics through the stages:
  23. Thats the Electric prototype ;) supposedly planed for 2012. The current petrol engined one does it in 3.8 :hammer:
  24. Might be worth trying Ajays in your area: http://www.jayar.co.uk/branches/ They can usually supply KYB replacement shocks Also you dont need a set of plugs do you? I bought a set a couple of years back for my mates FTO & then he stacked it & I got lumbered with the plugs!! Cost me about £60 IIRC too
