  1. LOL! just seen my hairy knee in the photo :tongue_smilie:
  2. Just got a bargain IMO!! New Alpine head unit from Halfords for £99 with full speed ipod lead out of the back of the unit which I have routed into the centre armrest  Sounds great & have been looking to get a unit with ipod control so well chuffed :thumbup1:
  3. Also jack the rear of the car up & give the wheels a good shake side to side - check for any play in the HICAS arms & joints in the hub, this will cause the car to skip around at the rear. Worn rear tyres on the edges are an indication that the rear tracking is out - another possibility Once you know the suspension is in good order then think about replacing the shocks!
  4. Cool - are you learning Heian katas at the moment? Loads on youtube to help you now days! http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=heian&aq=f Many by Kanazawa one of the great shotokan kata experts! Check them out!!
  5. What style Karate do you do? I have not trained in a few years - was a 4th dan in Shotokan. Also used to do kickboxing & used to compete - biggest adrenelin rush ever LOL! Too old to compete now but do miss the training! :donatello:
  6. plenty here: obscure body kits ;)
  7. "Police are investigating whether he was speeding when he lost control of the car on the 50mph road.":rofl::rofl:
  8. As said its likely to be a syncro problem - there is a syncro ring on each gear & their job is to syncronise the speed of the gear to the shaft so as you engage the next gear the selection is smooth. When they are worn this stops happening hence the crunch in any particular gear. A decent oil like redline or manual gearbox additives can help reduce the problem but if they are worn then it is likely to be a temporary measure. Probably worth a go however! :)
  9. In my opinion if a relationship didnt work the first time around & you have been apart for this long it is unlikely to ever work again! Get out there & have some fun, go out with mates, meet other people, just have a laugh & you will soon move on. With regards to the tattoo, I wouldnt pay to have it removed as has been suggested - just find another girl with the same name!! LOL! I got divorved a few years back & decided not to get into any serious relationships. Was out with my mates having a laugh, out in the zed in the summer, went on a few holidays with mates - Ibiza, Poland - had a blast! Ended up meeting someone when I really wasnt looking for anything & am still together now & wouldnt want to be with anyone else. If you have to keep on trying to force something like this it wont ever happen - relax, enjoy life & you will find someone just when you least expect it :) Paul.
  10. I have these on mine - been on for a few years & have been good with no problems: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nis-300ZX-Turbo-89-96-Black-Diamond-Grooved-Brake-Discs-/250735298279?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a60fd06e7
  11. LOL!! All good here matey! You had much more done to your zed recently?
  12. you are old AND been here a long time!! :whistling: :wheelchair::biggrin: And welcome back bud!!
  13. My girlfriend had it done around 18 months ago - all went well for a while but during the healing process her eyes went back so after many check ups they agreed to do a top up procedure. Due to the increased risks they would only do one eye at a time, so about 4-5 months ago back we went & she had the worst eye redone. Its still not right & we went back last week & they are now looking at having it done a 3rd time :pinch: They want to wait another 6-12 months to get an absolute stable reading & she is not sure she wants to go through it all another time especially as there is still a chance it may not work correctly. We paid around £3,500 for the top treatment for her. To be fair she had a plus prescription & it was at the end of the scale for what they would treat. Plus prescription isharder to correct & we was aware that the results were a lot harder to predict but all in all it has not been a good experience for her  Hers is probably only around 1% of all treatment cases in the fact that she has to go back a third time - around 5% need a follow up treatment. Risks increase each time & cell growth is possible under the flap on the following retreatments & there is the possibility of having to have the flap lifted to clean this out  I dont think I would ever have it done after her experience! :surrender:
  14. Hi Steve - if you mean the trim that runs up the rear door pillar then drop he window down & on the outside you will see a round plastic cap that you unclip - behind here is a screw, remove this & the trim can be removed :)
  15. congrats buddy & prepare for the sleepless nights, especially in around 15 years or so LOL! :whistling:
  16. I would have a read of this before polybushing the car - well the tension rods at least: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=22382
  17. Anyone using Wilwood brakes? Supposed to be good racing brakes. Am thinking of a big brake kit & have seen Wilwood calipers with 345mm Brembo discs, adapters, pads & braided hoses for around £630 for the Z32 Any thoughts? Seem a lot cheaper than K Sport & D2 kits & I know Wilwood have proven racing history!
  18. its well known that most new printers come with cartridges that are only half full so you have to but new ones quicker :censored: still rediculous prices however - we complain about petrol costs per litre LOL! wonder what ink works out at!!! :confused1:
  19. yup - its an aspirator fan - draws air in over an interior temp sensor to measure the interior temperature. without the fan the sensor will still do the same thing but may get a little heat soaked. You probably wont even notice it not working!
  20. or run with a little more negative camber for an ultra cool look:
  21. oh, come on - you can look really cool like this: :lol::lol:
  22. Finally got round to doing a wheel alignment today, Its not been right since the rebuild & it is driving just sooooooooooo good now I have set it all up again! :sorcerer: The rear wheels had slightly too much offset for my liking, have given the rear a bit more negative camber to tuck them in nicely - just gone out of spec but will be monitoring wear :detective: What have people tried running on the rear?? Pics of the zed on my new alignment machine at work - does away with measuring heads for targets with 4 HD camera's to check the angles: Heres the cameras on the mount - naughty techs in the workshop get crucified here :devil2: Cleaned off & ready for a run with the T tops off
  23. Welcome - where abouts in Kent are you? :)
  24. Hmm, the ad has changed now: 100% of the cash will go to the "Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund - A GlobalGiving Project." 50% will go to the fund automatically, the balance will go to the fund after I pay for the sale taxes, ebay and paypal fees, as well as extracting the original cost of the item. What do you recon - genuine or a scam for 50% of the final price?! :sneaky2:
  25. clearly not!! Heres one he's previously sold: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200585887282 :scared: hmm, must buy a few ipads!!
