  1. thanks for the response guys, its not done too much damaged, its cracked the front no. plate holder & scratched the front bumper, nothing too drastic, its just pissed me off that they just left really. the car wasnt causing an obstruction, it was parked on a straight bit of road, hope im not gonna get stitched up if i report it tho. the car was brand new (02) so chances are they were insured - just thought they could get away with it i suppose.
  2. while i was parked, not done too much damage thankfully. got details of car that done it from a witness. only problem was I was parked on double yellows at the time (2 mins while dropping a vid back to blockbuster's where everyone parks at night) will this make any difference if i tell plod?? anyone know??
  3. fuel pump relay, located in the o/s of the drivers footwell, behind a trim panel (near fusebox)
  4. or it could just have an airlock after they have drained the cooling system. better check your coolant level before you do any damage.
  5. NO! (to all the above!!) :D

just 1 thing, unless your spending SERIOUS dosh (more than £6k) the stock internals will prob be fine if in good condition. do you plan on spending all the money on engine mods, or is that for body, wheels, suspension etc??
  8. i got a timer at the mo (my mates actually) stick it on the screen & it does 0-60 & 60-0 braking time. works it out on g force (god knows how it knows when you hit 60! anyone????) but seems damn accurate. done 5.9 secs when i was totally stock, without giving the clutch a hard time off the mark. want to try again now iv done a few minor mods but its been too damn wet so far.
  9. 110 in 3rd  150 then i keep running out of room  , bloody private test tracks eh? never long enough ;)
  10. red = matches the oil pissing out of your gearbox (only on auto's of course!) :p
  11. oh look, 16 votes for manuals, only 12 for auto's now (+ some votes wasted for comedy purposes)
  12. agree with you on the gearbox choice stu, but you know blue is the best colour.
  13. if he has gone, how's he gonna see this to know to come back, unless he does come back, then he's gonna see this, but then he would have already come back, so he doesnt need to be told to come back.
  14. yeah but 1 auto box rebuild = cost of 10 clutches!!! :p

    lol!! :D
  19. nick- 1, disconnecting & resetting the ecu DOES make a big difference in many (but not all) cases. it is a self adapting ecu which can sometimes get screwed up!! 2, you can access ecu fault codes without taking it to a garage, the zeds ecu has a diagnostic mode which reads them out. check here hth
  20. bought mine in march this year. L reg, 84k miles, UK TT, FSH, very clean inside & out, standard apart from nice set of 17" alloys, manual. paid £7k which i thought was fair for the condition.
  21. bonkers!! :D
  22. nope - its still as silky smooth as ever.
  23. er, why stop at 6000? it revs to over 7!!:D sometimes I think the same too tho, until I look down at the speedo, or at the little 'erbert in his RS ford disapearing in the rear view mirror ;)
  24. a tiny amount of movement is probably acceptable, a had a small amount of play in one side of mine (which i left) and shed loads the other side ( which i replaced) the hicas track rods are replacable as seperate items, around £60 iirc. helped a lot with the rear end skipping about over man hole covers!
